Donald Trump is starting to drop hints about a world in which he is not a presidential candidate. In an interview on "Meet the Press" on Sunday, Trump said that he'd quit the race if his poll number started to drop. Talking to the Times, he bemoaned what a Trump-less race would look like: boring. "Thered be a major collapse of the race, and thered be a major collapse of television ratings," he told the Times's Michael Barbaro. "It would become a depression in television." He's probably not wrong.
Polling released in concert with that "Meet the Press" interview shows that Trump's recent national decline is also mirrored in two key early primary states. At the end of August, NBC (working with Marist College) had Trump at 29 percent in Iowa and 28 in New Hampshire. The new survey (working with the Wall Street Journal) has him at 24 and 21, respectively. Putting those in the context of other recent polls, you can see the dip...

Trump interview with Mark Levin
This Pennsylvanian is probably voting for him and I know a lot of independent types that like what he’s saying.
Bless your heart....
OK. He is my guy too. So how do we get him a charisma transplant?
Yup, not at all what he said. He never said he’d quit if his poll numbers STARTED to drop. That would be stupid, in fact is stupid of the MSM to lie about. He said if his poll numbers were low, he wouldn’t waste his time any more.
And the only reason he said that was because he was ASKED!
Is this really what we’ve resorted to? Are we this lame to try focus on inane comments like this? Are the other candidates so weak that their supporters have to rely on this garbage?
I’m conservative on social issues, and would not support Ben Carson.
My comment at #1 or the article?

10/5/15 show, Trump appeared during the last hour of the show if I am not mistaken. I believe it was near the top of the final hour.

Hewitt seems to be big on Kasich for some reason which I do not know.
Kasich is a dud. Everyone from the GOP seems to be a dud.
I don’t think people are buying what the GOP is selling any longer.
The Washington Post again. ROTFL!
Keep dreaming....
Yes, in a tweak to those who are polling 1-2% (Graham, Gilmore, et al) he said HE would drop out if his numbers got there, not if they dropped a few points.
“Donald Trump is starting to drop hints about a world in which he is not a presidential candidate. “
Completely, 100% false reporting. The Washington Post is just making stuff up out of whole cloth now. Trump was not dropping any “hints”.
Chuck Todd kept asking Trump stupid questions, constantly interrupting Trump, and trying to put words in Trump’s mouth. In answer to one of those stupid questions about “dropping out”, Trump said: “I’m not a masochist. And if I was dropping in the polls where I saw that I wasn’t going to win, why would I continue? “
That is hardly a “hint” and to claim it is is an act of monumental dishonesty worthy of a tabloid newspaper like the National Enquirer”.
Just one more of a gazillion WaPo anti-Trump hit pieces.
Good. Let’s hope this liberal drops down.
