The media is right now freaking out that Donald Trump did not correct a questioner who suggested that Barack Obama is a Muslim. Obviously, I am not a fan of Donald Trump but this is completely asinine, and not only that, it is ridiculously hypocritical. Whether Barack Obama is a Muslim or not is of absolutely no importance at this point – he’s never running for election again.
Whether Barack Obama is a Muslim or not is, I would think, of far less import than whether 9/11 conspiracy theories are true or not. And yet, observe here when former Democratic Presidential candidate (and former Vice Presidential nominee) John Edwards was confronted with an insane question about whether the government was responsible for causing World Trade Center tower 7 to fall:

Not only did Edwards fail to correct this obvious nutjob, but he publicly egged him on – promising that he would look into it and telling the guy to get his campaign staffer’s info and stay in touch.
Now here is the point – unless you are/were an everyday listener to conservative talk radio, you would have no memory or awareness that this interaction had ever occurred. I myself had nearly forgotten that it happened – because the media put this interaction into an absolute black hole and treated it like it never existed. In fact, it was extremely hard for me to find any record of this interaction having occurred using Google and checking news reports. If it weren’t for the habit 9/11 truthers have of obsessively saving YouTube clips of every major truther interaction that occurs, I wouldn’t have even been able to prove that this happened.
On the other hand, Trump not correcting a guy who thinks Barack Obama is a Muslim has been a national news story for four days now.
Grow up, media. There’s plenty of things to criticize Donald Trump for, but this isn’t one of those things.
I’m betting that the minute he is no longer president, he will “convert” to Islam and then run for UN Secretary General.
They should just be referred to as the enemy of the United States. The Media title isn’t deserved.

Why doesn’t the Right turn this stupid MSM nonsense around and start saying that Obama is an elected official sworn to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution and it is OUR JOB to EXAMINE whether he has upheld his oath of office and whether he has in fact benefited the America and her people.
From there you simply show that Obama has ignored the Constitution and his sworn oath and has rather adhered to America’s enemies and has escalated unconstitutional federal growth and acts. You then go on to show how you would CUT THE UNCONSTITUTIONAL PORTION OF GOVERNMENT (about 80%), REINSTATE THE CONSTITUTION AS THE SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND, and GIVE THIS COUNTRY BACK TO THE STATES AND THE PEOPLE.
Take it from there.

So really, the media isn’t freaking out, but they are actively campaigning against Trump, and using this non-issue against him.
I would settle for four or eight years of Trump followed by eight years of Cruz.

Since the liberals tell us Islam is a religion of peace and one of the world’s great religious faith traditions and all that, why is it somehow considered some sort of insult to Obama, if anyone thought he was Muslim?
Since Islam is such a wonderful faith with a wonderful history and culture, why would the media get their panties in a twist if someone thought Obama was Muslim????

Hillary opened that can of worms up because she knew full well that Trump or any self respecting member of political opposition running for POTUS would not be “defending” Obama. She wanted Trump to do her dirty work. Because guess who? sigged the news on her email thingie ? Well what better way then; Have Trump attack Obama while she appears to defend him. And that’s the way the Donald should handled this but didn’t. Instead he actually waffled.
