Miss Alabama Meg McGuffin finished as the Fourth Runner Up in the Miss America 2016 pageant tonight.
But she may have landed first in the hearts of those who are sick and tired of Donald Trump. McGuffin said Trump is an "entertainer" and that Republicans should be "terrified" by the possibility of having him as President of the United States.
McGuffin, Miss Alabama 2015 had a few choice words about Donald Trump as she competed for the 2016 Miss America Competition crown.
Miss America judge Taya Kyle, widow of US Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, asked McGuffin the following on stage question: "According to a poll released this week, Donald Trump is leading Republican candidates by 32% of the vote. Why do you think he is leading by such an overwhelming margin?"
Miss Alabama's answer: "I think Donald Trump is an entertainer and I think he says what's on a lot of peoples' minds, but I think the Republican party should be absolutely terrified of all the attention that he is taking from incredible candidates like Jeb Bush and Chris Christie who could absolutely do the job of President of the United States....

She looks like Angie Dickenson in drag, after she was past her prime.
I’m getting really tired of Taya Kyle as well...
Though she never said anything, I think she now knows she is not able to judge everything accurately. But I attribute that to when her church group sponsored an Hispanic family and they ended up ripping them off, which I told her would happen.
I honestly do not talk to her about politics anymore. She has to learn these things on her own as she slowly learns that liberalism is negatively impacting her and her children. One thing I am certain about though is she will never utter I was right. LOL
Just a typical product of the public school system.
According to Wikipedia Dylann Roof was born in Columbia, South Carolina
Dylann Roof was born in Columbia, South Carolina, to Franklin Bennett Roof, a carpenter, and Amelia "Amy" Cowles, a bartender. Both were divorced but temporarily reconciled at the time of his birth. When Roof was five, his father remarried to Paige Mann (née Hastings) in November 1999, but they divorced after ten years of marriage, in which Bennett was allegedly verbally and physically abusive towards Mann. The family mostly lived in South Carolina, though from about 2005 to 2008, they temporarily moved to the Florida Keys, although there is no information about Roof attending local schools there.
Thanks for the headsup, y'all! 8^)
The winner, Miss Georgia, said flat-out that she thinks Tom Brady is a cheater. God bless that girl.
LMAO!
I am terrified, Meg, honey.
Of the GOP.
If you don’t already know the things he’s said in the past - not so distant past, by the way - I really can’t help you. It’s not my job to think for everyone.
Remember you said that the next time a Dem or RINO "evolves."
Like Obama, this man is not who he says he is and the fervor is blinding people to that fact.
Wow, what a chubette. And this after several months of ‘fitness camp’ undoubtedly. She’s fatter than I was at her age back in the 80’s and I was considered the ‘chubby one’. Only imagine how big she’ll balloon up when she’s not doing pageants anymore...No way she’d have ever made the finals of a pageant in the Southeast in the 80’s or even 90’s.
I thought he had lived a bit in Phenix City and LaGrange, Ga where I’m at.
How incredibly small minded to believe people don’t change. I guess you didn’t care for Reagan since he was a Democrat and he did allow taxes to be raised even as a Republican.
If Trump gets nomination you just stay home because surely Clinton, Sanders or Biden would be no different than Trump or even (gag) Bush.
Only difference between the three is that Trump doesn't have the party apparatus in place to actually implement any of these ideas that he's supposedly outgrown, while Jeb and Marco are both actively campaigning for them, and both are more than able to see them come to fruition.
In any event, it is a very long way before we get to the first primaries, it will not surprise me if there isn't a drastic change in the polling before then, and it will not surprise me if there's not a whole lot of support for the liberals in the party come the primaries. Pretty sure McCain was in single digits at this point in his campaign, and Romney just barely into double digits the second time around.
I hate to admit but I *was* your sister when I was 18-20.
Same mentality.
Same IQ.
Borderline liberal.
Couldn’t tell me anything because I already knew everything.
Halfway through Reagan’s first term, I smartened up a bit.
/book smart/life stupid
:D
I believe people can change. What I don’t believe is self-aggrandizing narcissists will or do. If you’re believing in Trump, you’re just as foolish as the dupes who bought into Hope and Change.
Yes - and that's precisely my point. We can and should demand better. It's not like there aren't other options. I was skeptical of him at first, but I think the only choice left is Cruz.
