When will Jim banish Trump supporters from FR, like he did with Giuliani advocates? [JR @ 305]
one man's opinion...

Posted on 07/25/2015 2:15:15 PM PDT by ken5050

On 4/23/2007, Jim Robinson posted a manifesto, "Giuliani as the GOP presidential nominee would be a dagger in the heart of the conservative movement" (and a knife in the back) . The thread was subtitled, "The only difference in a Liberal Rudy Giuliani and Liberal Hillary Clinton is the fact of which bathrooms they select to use and there are some who are willing to even question that.

Trump has his flaws and you raise many good points. One thing is fairly certain is The Donald is no traitor to the USA. We have that right now in the WH and Admin aided by Pravda on the Potomac. The media back then and still today somewhat worship and adore The Bam while they excoriate DT. Big, big difference. Trump aint perfect but better than a whole lotta them cretins in DC.

The RINO’s are just as bad as the DEM’s. No more blind loyalty to the republican party, they shank us in the back at every chance they get.

I was a vocal Giuliani supporter, and I was never banned or chastised.

I also never argued with JimRob, I understand his POV on this and I never disrespected him or the arguments he was defending.

And I’ve never complained or said “I told you so”.

A lot of people who were banned (certainly less than 20) were disrespectful in their arguments.

For me it's either Trump or Cthulhu—the former if I want to vote for the lesser evil, otherwise the latter.

"And I saw what happened to the Rooty-rooters, and they brought it on themselves."

I was originally a Rudy supporter, but when the word was distributed that he supported Roe, I dropped him.

But there were MANY who then organized in defiance against Jim, tried to tell him how wrong he was.

Didn't work out for those folks.

Every election cycle Jim allows HEATED debate about and for just about any candidate that is pro life and anti-communist.

Then, late in the season (probably this time next year) he'll start culling the list.

Pay attention. When he makes the call, do not argue with him.

You don’t have to support Trump (or Cruz for that matter) to appreciate what they are doing.

When is the last time there were two candidates for President who took on both major political parties and the media while running as Republicans?

Think about that.

‘Banning’ talk and comments of Rudy G would have been as the Mods pulling threads and deleting posts in favor of him. Thats censoring-— I dont recall that happening here on FR-— stating of a strong opinion vs. actual enforcement of ‘banning’ are quite different terms.

I don’t think the support for Trump is nearly as rabid and irrational as the support for Rudy was. I recall how stupid all us non-Rudy supporters were because he was the only one who could win. I remember that purge and the evolution troll zots, and FR is better for it.

Who knows? If Rudy would have been the GOP nominee, we might not have had a President Obama.

"Four years ago I didn’t feel GOPe was our primary problem. Now I do."

First, the GOP must die.

Everything else comes after that.

Perhaps it’s none of your business. It’s Jim’s site, and he can do what he wants here.

Way, way too early to be taking sides yet. Let’s sit back, watch the circus, and yammer among ourselves about it until January.
