Shut The Donald Up!

Donald Trump dominates the news these days. The impossible big-mouth narcissist from a reality TV show is selling out venues, having to switch locations for overflow, yet still leaving long lines outside his events. All this because Donald Trump reached out and touched the third rail of the politically correct: illegal immigration. Trump probably didn’t see the coming tsunami over his remarks; he was just mouthing off, as he’s prone to do. But then the American people rose up to join him, to cheer the defiant rebel, as they’re prone to do.

Donald certainly wasn’t the first to preach on the border crisis, though he is undoubtedly the most vocal. But he is the first to keep talking about it and talking about it until pro-amnesty heads explode. And with each speech, each interview, he doubles down.

Now normally, after a few slap-downs from the government and their media, the out-of-step perp who’s causing the ruckus backs down, shuts up, and fades into the background. But that’s never been Trump’s style. Once he’d stated the obvious – that illegals are importing crime, drugs, and disease along with their increasing numbers, he was in the cartels’ crosshairs, and the “Shut The Donald Up” campaign sprang to life....

I think he's just a big rich scary outsider/question mark and that has a lot of people nervous. I don't know that he's a Trojan horse. It's possible. It's also possible that he truly wants to be President. He seems like the kind of person that would aspire to such a thing. He lacks the political purity of a career politician. that makes people nervous too. Rightfully perhaps.

He seems well respected by Sean Hannity and most of Fox news. That says something about him.

Ultimately, I think we'll just have to wait and watch for a while and ensure that our "other candidates" remain shielded by and/or from this game changer.

I think it's just a publicity stunt for him...

Not many people are thinking that way now. If Trump backs off, that's what would hurt his brand at this point. Also, (have you ever watched the show?) one doesn't put down Trump and not feel the sting.

This is going to be a very interesting hearing. Some people who have been trying to get traction in the media and with the government regarding the murder of their loved ones are going to get their day in the sun.

This is along the lines of my outstanding piece from last Saturday - which basically goes like this:

“If the Republicans (or Democrats, or media) want to silence Trump, then they need to address Illegal Immigration”

Otherwise he’ll shut up only if HE feels like shutting up...and he just may keep talking this for another 16 months.

Trump is the conduit, the means for American’s to voice their angry screams of disgust over our corrupt crony capitalist government. The time is beyond late, it is now or never for the country. Trump is fed up, the country is fed up, and with his help it is our last chance to stick it to the oligarchs and “Bring America Back” to the people. Let’s all hope and pray he is locked on this time around to go all the way. When you stop and think about it, his age and personality (too old to give a damn) and financial independence from the Uniparty bosses are the only way to break their backs. All they have is money and ridicule to control the candidates. With Trump, neither one works. This includes the MSM. And it is sooo satisfying to watch the bastards squirm.

When Trump starts on the Clintons and odumbo, all bets are off on his “safety”. That bunch certainly has a dark track record when we look at those who directly or indirectly connected to them met their untimely demise.

I liked it - if for no other reason, Cruz is no fool and he is willing to keep Trump turned loose and to talk with him. So far, it seems win-win for our side.

Never would have thought that I'd develop a warm spot in my heart for "The Donald" but he is hitting all the right nerves so far.

Love him or hate him, Trump has undeniably changed the battlefield for the next year or so. The Rats and enemedia have always been able to control that but this time it is not going to be possible. For that alone he deserves our thanks. Not that I think the GOP will be able to overcome the vote fraud the Rat machine can produce. Any GOP nominee who can’t get more than 15% over the Rats in Florida and Ohio doesn’t have a prayer.

Yes, I kept reading, almost stopped midpoint when she said ‘esteemed turncoat senators ..... Respected journalists then piled on, disgusted by Trump’s bigoted rhetoric, suggesting ways to punish him.’ The whole article turned out ok.

And I wholly agree with the first commenter. “..... You seem to want us to love the message but despise the man. It doesn’t work that way except with schizophrenics and ingrates..” (by feralcat)

So far no other man pick up the message and fight back as fiercely as Trump.

It is indeed a great article. I have to take issue with two things, however.

First, though Donald Trump most certainly has a high opinion of himself, I don’t think he’s a narcissist. In business, your checks have to be good, and your word has to be good. Narcissists are liars, and simply won’t make it in business over any sustained period of time without ending up in jail. Narcissists cannot assess markets, trends, and what others are thinking sufficiently to make good investment decisions.

Secondly, the author uses the word “rednecks” to describe NASCAR fans. I don’t think the author meant it to be pejorative, just descriptive, but it’s still not totally true, imho. I personnally am not a NASCAR fan, but I know people who are, and they aren’t rednecks at all.

At any rate, still a very good article.
