But the speeches were just part of the Values Voter Summit. It also holds the first large straw poll for presidential candidates....

I have read many times that Colbert affects a Right Wing persona on his show. Where does that opinion come from?
He apes a straw-man version of Bill O’Reilly meets Rush Limbaugh, as I understand it. I don’t watch it, so I have very little first-hand knowledge.

You’ve really described Colbert to a T.. I was surprised when I first learned he was from South Carolina because there isn’t anything even slightly Southern in that loser.
