Nicolle Wallace told her new co-hosts on The View Monday that her relationship with Sarah Palin was irreparably damaged following the infamous Katie Couric interviews during the 2008 presidential campaign.
Wallace, a senior advisers and representatives of Sen. John McCain and the former Alaska governors campaign, revealed Monday that her relationship with Palin erupted and exploded in the aftermath of the interview, in which Palin claims she was set up for failure.
Our relationship really erupted and exploded, and was irreparably damaged after the Katie Couric interview, in which she had thought I had set her up for failure, said Wallace.
I felt like the questions were pretty fair. [Couric] asked what she had read, said the former Bush flack. That was really the end of the end.(continued)

Nicolle showing her true colors so quickly? I’ll bet she gets orders to act more like the token Republican they want on the show.
Sarah Palin is the only reason I pulled the lever for McCain in 2008. My hope was the old f@rt would have a stroke early in the term and Sarah would take over.
Nicole Who?
Never mind, I really don’t care. Sarah has my vote. McStain never did.
There was something very fishy about the way McCaon’s campaign screwed up the start of the campaign for Sarah Palin. I wondered what they were doing with the national interviews - The three first interviews were Charlie Gibson, Katie Couric, and Sean Hannity. Only one of those I would have picked. Afterwords I was wondering if McCain had Obama people infiltrate his campaign.
So what she’s saying is the people who fed Palin to the wolves — instead of carefully crafting a series of friendly appearances such as on Fox — were wickedly stupid and have a lot to do with there being a President Obama.
Palin lives rent free in Wallace’s liberal pea brain.
I would like to hear any of the witches on the View explain the Obama Doctrine.
Then again no. I will never watch that cackle of ignorance.
That interview was edited to make Palin look bad, you cannot trust the media any more than you can trust a RINO
Sarah Palin was absolutely and brutally ambushed in that Couric interview.
She would have never asked Hillary Clinton what newspapers she read and even worse, instead of delving into McCain-Palin domestic and foreign policy details or Sarah’s executive experience. Couric minimized Gov. Palin by asking got you questions that for all intents and purposes are trivial.
1. We get a raw stream of the entire interview.
2. As soon as you broadcast any portion of the interview, we are then free to broadcast any portion of the entire interview however we want.
No more snippets of interviews carefully edited to put the candidates in the worst possible light with no ability of the campaign to refute out of context quotes.
For example, the candidate tells Katie Couric "I never beat my wife and I condemn anyone who would do something like that." NBC broadcasts "I ... beat my wife and ... I ... like that." The campaign can then immediately broadcast proof of the fraudulent editing.
The lamestream media is constantly referring to James O'Keefe's sting videos as "edited" even though he also releases the entire raw videos. It is time for the lamestream media to get held to the same standard.
Gee, Nicolle, ya think?
Wallace is the dummy who gave Couric many hours of access to Palin WITHOUT legally ascertaining rights to the footage. You can make anyone look stupid or foolish by selectively excerpting a few minutes from hours of taping.
Couric would ask the same questions multiple times, annoying Palin. But to a viewer, irritation can be seen as cluelessness. And it was. I believe that Wallace’s mission was to sabotage Gov. Palin. Or else she is a rank idiot, or both. Bob
Look at what they did to Romney at a 7/11.
Nicole Wallace is a liberal pro-abort pro-homosexual agenda RINO.
That said, Palin should have prepared better for the Katie Kupcakes interview. Palin, a college graduate, was merely asked what books and periodicals she read. She could have said ANYTHING. Instead she awkwardly said nothing.
Palin is clever and cute, with huge political potential. But intellectually lazy.
When it was known that Palin's initial interviews had been scheduled with Couric and other MSM lefitist schills, I and others commented here that that was beyond stupid. Sarah should have done some initial interviews on Fox and talk radio to get into national media exposure gradually.
I wondered if those handing Sarah's media schedule were that stupid and incompetent, or if they were deliberately trying to damage her and the campaign.
Sarah Palin is the only reason I pulled the lever for McCain in 2008. ...................................................... The majority of the Mc Cain votes were for her. Every Republican I know tells me the same thing. So they lost and look what we got, Twice. The Main Stream Media usually ends up choosing the Republican Candidates. Palin’s candidacy gave McCain a needed adrenalin boost. It was Palin who drew the crowds, not McCain.
Palin wanted to campaign 12 hours a day while McCain wanted to campaign 2 hours every other day.
Palin is clever and cute, with huge political potential. But intellectually lazy.
Katie Couric makes more green in 2 days than you make in a year, heye2monn. They don't pay her that much for no reason. She's the Queen Shark in a sea of media sharks.
alstewartfan explains the rest of the story:

Couric would make YOU look like a 59-IQ moron without breaking a sweat, heye2monn. It wouldn't take her hours of taping, either.
