New swing state polls are out today from Rasmussen and We Ask America, all taken yesterday after the first Presidential debate. In Rasmusssen surveys, Romney is up 1
in Virginia (he had been down 1) , up 2 in Floria (he has been down 2) and down 1 in Ohio (same as before)
We Ask America has Romney up 3 in Virginia (last survey had Obama up 3), up 1 in Ohio (first survey in this cycle for the state), and up 3 in Florida (last survey had Obama up 3).
The average of the surveys from the two polls in each of the three most critical swing states puts Romney up 2 in Virginia, up 2.5% in Florida, and even in Ohio.
A new Gravis poll has Obama up 1 in Nevada, another swing state....

American voters on average are idiots
The polls shouldn’t even be close
The fools are still led around by the nose by the MSM
As I type, Red Eye Radio is on, a recap I believe. They denoted some big Debate Professor who's teams have gone on to national titles said the following and I para-phrase here....
. Romney's style of debating and his skill set within it will not change for the 2 going forward. He is who he is. Hidden in that (as a hint) is the strong possibility of him winning big again.
If so, stick a fork in him, the lear deader is done politically...
Right on. I think they are not looking to make an even decision. I think they are looking for any reason to vote against obama. Any kind of decent performance by Romney should do it.
I believe he’s also up about 5 in Ohio - many who would never vote for him a second time still have to live with their neighbors, bosses, etc...
I posited a few days ago that the drumbeat of criticism of Obama for ‘not being aggressive enough” is almost a set-up by Romney: next debate is foreign policy and if Obama comes out angry and aggressive, it will backfire as most people don’t want someone with an itchy trigger finger on the button.
On Wednesday night, at 8pm the brothers at our gathering prayed that the Lord would lift up the man of His choosing and would confound the speech of His enemy. Some also prayed that Obama might come to know the Lord (realizing what He was able to do with Paul, who was breathing out hate against the church.) That, likewise, Romney might seek the Lord while He may be found. That these two men would humble themselves under the mighty hand of God, that in due time one might be exalted and not pridefully so, of course.
Mr. and Mrs. Christian American, it is time to pray. Pray earnestly for our nation. No, as a nation, we don’t deserve His grace (never have). Collectively, America has turned its back on God. All we can do is petition Him for mercy and kindness toward us—seek to move His heart once more so that He might spare us from the reckless path of sin that leads to the downfall of men and women and nations.
Ryan should say — in his opening line in his debate against the National Town Drunk — that no one should believe any statistics they read concerning the US economy that come out between labor day and the election. Not with this administration in charge of the media.
Romney's campaign had the best response to the Labor Dept. figures yesterday, because it came out as a great campaign attack without harping on whether the numbers are accurate or not. In fact, it was an effective response that was applicable even if everyone conceded that the numbers were 100% accurate.
The Romney campaign statement said something like this: "These unemployment figures are completely unacceptable when the country is supposed to be in the midst of a recovery."
That's perfect. Straight and to the point, and dismissive of the numbers without arguing over their accuracy.
“I might say, that God’s heart was moved towards us in that, he sent his son to die for us yet while we were sinners....”
Amen! And He did so while none were seeking after Him! No, not one! And, so, seeing we have a merciful God, who has loved us unto the shedding of blood (His Son’s), we can approach His throne with confidence and know that He inclines His ear to our prayers and, like Abraham of old, we may make petition for a wayward country (God being the same yesterday, today, and forever) and seek for His mercy on behalf of a nation that has earned His wrath.
Ultimately, God is at work controlling, from behind the scenes, the scenes He is behind. He is able to do exceeding, abundantly above all that we ask or think. He can restore America (though, today He seeks individuals, not nations to “Follow Me”). His people can move His heart with prayers of faith and He can choose to bring America to a place where, as in previous eras, she served more like an example of a shining city on a hill, than as she resembles now—the well-watered plain of Jordan.
How about:
People are starting to hire now that it looks possible this regime is coming to an end.
?
And that’s why we may approach the throne of Grace with boldness—we do so in Christ—the name which is above every name. The Father’s estimation of His Son’s work on the cross is that it is the ONLY WORK that God acknowledges as righteous (all other works are as filthy rags!)
So, coming to the Father by way of the Son (and the cross) is as a sweet aroma to God, as the perfume of the sacrifice of His Son is a sweet savor! Full atonement is made for sin. I approach His Throne, He sees His Son and is satisfied. The Father now inclines His ear to me, His redeemed child and He gives attention to my [feeble] request and like a loving Father, grants these in accordance with His will.
Internal polls? Republicans can win in California, it’s been done before.
Hey LS, have you noticed movement at the RNC office where you’re volunteering post-debate?
Been on the road for a week, so I haven’t been around.
I saw a good comment on another conservative blog. The poster was “trumpetdaddy’, and I guess he works in a polling company calling Florida today.
“What a difference a debate makes. Our polling firm was finding nearly even numbers in FL a week or so back. Today, we blew up the phones all across FL. Brutal numbers for Obama. Simply brutal.
Nelson is in pretty decent shape, though.
Obama? Not good in the sunshine state. I heard one call where a nice Jewish lady in Palm Beach Co sheepishly said she was voting “for the Republican, sorry.” Heh.
Be not afraid.”
