No, Newt is the new George Herbert Bush—because Cain is going to be a Reagan like President and Gingrich will be his Veep.

Gingrich was written off early as a candidate that was simply looking to run in order to eventually be able to increase fees for speaking engagements and rake in cash from book sales and perhaps even land a cushy tv gig a la Mike Huckabee or Sarah Palin. In retrospect Palin is looking like a genius by being able to milk her 2 months as a national candidate for millions of dollars without having to put herself or her family through it again.

Doncha love it? This is supposed to be a news article, but instead they infect it with a biased statement that nowhere in the article is supported by any factual evidence. While all that conjecture may be true, I don't want to read editorial opinion unless it is marked as such. And the MSM wonders why revenues continue to shrink.

Romney and Perry have good commercials. Gingrich has the best presence in the forums. Cain is an American success story and a beltway outsider ...a beltway outsider ...a beltway outsider ...a beltway outsider ...

Well, get used to it. The nominee is going to be either Romney or Gingrich. I like Cain, but he is too inexperienced. He will make gaffes that the media will go wild on...it just won’t work. Sorry.

Reluctantly, Newt is my second choice, even after his snuggle with Nancy on the couch.

McCain is an incoherant, bumbling, old RINO who hates conservatives, loves democrats and the media.

Gingrich is a conservative who flirts with liberalism on occasion. He speaks in a way that is perfectly understandable to the average person, and at times, causes people to rise from their seats in applause.

A Gingrich presidency would be a good thing, as long as there is a hard-right congress to check him with he falls under the spell of liberalism.

Actually, Romney is the new McCain, he’ll cross the aisle 5 minutes into a presidency when the media starts talking bad about him.

Hahahaha.. sorry, but Projecting Reagan onto ANYONE in the class of 2012 is comical. No one in the Republican class of 2012 is remotely Reaganesque, and no amount of projecting and wishing will make it so.

Reagan sure as hell wouldn’t have came out saying a fellow republican was behind allegations against him, and then backpedal 2 days later.

I’ve had similar thoughts as well. Have not made up my mind yet. Hope I still have some kind of good choice when primaries reach my part of the country.

Cain isn’t remotely ready for the job IMHO.. I won’t vote for a bush leaguer, we have a 3rd stringer in the white house now, and I won’t vote for another 3rd stringer just because he has an R beside his name.

I agree with you, its Romney or Gingrich as the most likely canidate, and I’ll be honest, while Gingrich isn’t my ideal canidate, when looking at the sad group that is the Republican class of 2012, he’s unquestionably the best option.

“Ha, they’re still scared of Palin.”

Huh? The day Palin decided not to run was the day she became irrelevant to everyone. She is zero threat to anyone if she’s not in the game. Limbaugh she aint

At this point, I could see it going the other way around.

If people get antsy about Cain's lack of experience in political office, I can see anti-Romney votes going to Newt, who is performing well in debates. Newt would be a fool not to consider Cain for the ticket.

The debate between Cain and Newt could be win-win for the two of them.
