No, Newt is the new George Herbert Bush—because Cain is going to be a Reagan like President and Gingrich will be his Veep.

Hahahaha.. sorry, but Projecting Reagan onto ANYONE in the class of 2012 is comical. No one in the Republican class of 2012 is remotely Reaganesque, and no amount of projecting and wishing will make it so.

Reagan sure as hell wouldn’t have came out saying a fellow republican was behind allegations against him, and then backpedal 2 days later.

At this point, I could see it going the other way around.

If people get antsy about Cain's lack of experience in political office, I can see anti-Romney votes going to Newt, who is performing well in debates. Newt would be a fool not to consider Cain for the ticket.

The debate between Cain and Newt could be win-win for the two of them.

No, Newt is smart, McCain wasn’t. Newt is a savvy southern politician in the mold of Clinton. He will be a great president or Vice President. He will not be a new Reagan—he will be his own man but—in his way great. Think Churchill rather than Lincoln. In any case he will be leaps and bounds over Obama.

Say what you will about Newt he is very intelligent and is the most experienced out of the bunch. I would love him for VP.
