Candidates T-Shirt Sales Predicted Last Three Presidents-Palin Garnering 66%...

Illinois Review has this fascinating article of predicable popular culture:

T-SHIRT SALES INDICATE PALIN VS OBAMA IN 2012

If T-shirt and presidential product sales predict the future in American politics, 2012 will be a Palin vs. Obama race. CafePress writes: The people have spoken and they want to see a Sarah Palin vs. Barack Obama showdown in the 2012 election. Although Palin’s Republican peers Mitt Romney, Michele Bachmann, and now Jon Huntsman have officially declared their candidacy, the American public is throwing their support behind “Mama Grizzly” for the 2012 Election – on T-shirts that is.

It may be 503 days away, but politically-minded citizens have already designed over 500,000 presidential election products on CafePress, the go-to site for customizable merchandise (think “royal wedding crasher” and “Weinergate” tees).

Sarah Palin has yet to declare her candidacy, but Palin-themed merchandise already makes up a whopping 66 percent of Obama challenger sales and 34 percent of all 2012 election product sales.

Mitt Romney made it official several weeks ago but his product sales make up a small percentage of Obama’s challengers at 3 percent of election product sales.

Michele Bachmann is also in Palin’s shadow, with products contributing to only 1 percent of election product sales.

Since CafePress has seen its T-shirt sales predict the winner of the previous three presidential elections, it’s clear that these Republican contenders have their work cut out for them.

“Still, there’s a lot to be said for bringing him onboard. He and Sarah’s gears mesh seamlessly, and they would make a terrific duo. There’s no doubt in my mind that they’d shake up the Washington establishment like no ticket in the last 100 years....They’d also get an unbelievably enthusiastic welcome from the patriot / Tea Party (i.e., normal American) crowd. I think West would be a turbo-booster to her campaign for president.”

That’s all he needs to bring to the ticket. The total energization (new qord!) of patriotic America. Awakening the sleeping giant.

With those two on the ticket, the right has two proven leaders that do not play political BS games and take the fight straight to the enemy and their ideas straight to the people.

Just like RR, but twice the bodies to get it done ;)

That’s just what I was thinking! LOL That would remind me of Fort Worthless Jim Wright’s book that was bought by union thugs and stored (burned?) in warehouses. Not even union dimwits were stupid enough to actually READ that tripe!

If Mittens and his crew are aware of this, they've no doubt considered making a large purchase for gifts to contributors.

Of course, CafePress might just count that as one sale. I would hope they're counting the stats that way. Keep everyone honest.

RE :" God people, she can’t win. The media said so. Freepers have said so. It’s as plain as day she can’t win for the simple fact that she can’t win. Wishing it doesn’t change the fact that she can’t win because, clearly, she can’t win.(PDS) "

She cant win if she doesnt run but I suppose when that is announced it could be the start of another great "If only..." where anything can be imagined.

I know you mean well, Sicko'lib, but what on earth are you trying to say? Once Sarah announces her run for the nomination, there won't be much to "imagine".

Perhaps you PDSers will "imagine" all sorts of ways to try to convince the other 99.9% of conservatives that "She Can't Win!!!", while she's clearly sweeping the decks .. LOL

I am glad you called me a PDSer just because I posted that 'she is not running/wont run'. When that is shown to be the case you will have defined PDSer as "He who is right"

You're welcome, but really, there's no need to thank me. That one's on the house. Glad I could help diagnose your affliction for you.

When that is shown to be the case you will have defined PDSer as "He who is right"

Now, now. That's your PDS kicking in again. Tends to give one delusions and such. Just try to ignore it and think pleasant thoughts. Here's a technique that may help. Just hold the image below in your mind, and clear your thoughts.

Wow, this is exciting. Let’s just hope the trend continues. :-)

You did it again defining PDSer as 'He who is shown to be right'. I like it !

I do hope that I'm not the only one reading your juvenile posts. This is much too good for just one person to enjoy!

Seriously, son. You're really out of your league on this forum. Perhaps a gaming forum, or YouTube might be more appropriate for you. I'm sure you'd feel right at home, and you might even find someone to look up to you. Now, wouldn't that be nice?

It is not very important who reads these particular posts now, what is more important is who reads them later when one of us is proved right about who will and who wont run.

That’s the only way she loses IMO... not even playing the game. If she doesn’t run she doesn’t. Her choice. But for a person that ‘may not’ she is making all the same moves she did in Alaska before she won the Gov’s office. She is sucking up all the attention. And she sure has a lot of “organizers” show up at her appearances...and lawyers filing all sorts of paperwork to protect her and....and...

I’d think if she wasn’t running, she’d tell them all to go home and avoid hard feelings and save a lot of legal fees.

But that’s just me.

I’m personally all for an official apology thread on FR. Whoever is wrong, either all the supporters or naysayers can post a sincere and formal apology to the other group.

I have been very vocal in my support and belief she will run and win. I will be the first to sign, apologize and eat crow before the forum if I’m wrong. How about it naysayers and also the PDS brigade?

Pony up.

If that is really the case then does she have a duty to run?

No such animal as ‘duty to run.’ Don’t see it listed anywhere.

Since however SP is by all accounts that matter, a decent human being, I do not ‘believe” (as in personal belief based on all available evidence - not a guarantee of anything) that she would string people along for no reason. And that tells me she is running.

Not even if she's the only one who can beat Obama?

Is that all this is to you? A contest to see who calls a horse race better than the other? I was right. You're completely out of your depth on this site.

If you've watched everything that's gone on in the political arena over the last two years, and still haven't figured out that Governor Palin is strategically timing her announcement, then you really need to get back to your video games, and leave politics to the grown ups.

Honestly. Hit me back when you've at least partially mastered the art of comprehending basic electoral politics. I'm dead serious. Don't waste any more of my time with these inane posts.

whether it was Obama, Maggie Thacher, Atillia the Hun or Rnaldus Magnus in opposition, it does not change the fact that there’s no such animal as “duty to run”.

Show me this ‘Duty to run” somewhere legally binding. Her only responsibility is to her family and herself. Constitution says nothing about mandated running for office.
