Illinois Review has this fascinating article of predicable popular culture:
T-SHIRT SALES INDICATE PALIN VS OBAMA IN 2012
If T-shirt and presidential product sales predict the future in American politics, 2012 will be a Palin vs. Obama race. CafePress writes: The people have spoken and they want to see a Sarah Palin vs. Barack Obama showdown in the 2012 election. Although Palins Republican peers Mitt Romney, Michele Bachmann, and now Jon Huntsman have officially declared their candidacy, the American public is throwing their support behind Mama Grizzly for the 2012 Election on T-shirts that is.
It may be 503 days away, but politically-minded citizens have already designed over 500,000 presidential election products on CafePress, the go-to site for customizable merchandise (think royal wedding crasher and Weinergate tees).
Sarah Palin has yet to declare her candidacy, but Palin-themed merchandise already makes up a whopping 66 percent of Obama challenger sales and 34 percent of all 2012 election product sales.
Mitt Romney made it official several weeks ago but his product sales make up a small percentage of Obamas challengers at 3 percent of election product sales.
Michele Bachmann is also in Palins shadow, with products contributing to only 1 percent of election product sales.
Since CafePress has seen its T-shirt sales predict the winner of the previous three presidential elections, its clear that these Republican contenders have their work cut out for them.
I seriously pray nightly for a landslide of historical proportion. Considering the wave Palin will generate, I think the house and Senate are in for major upheaval as well. I hope that turns out to be the case.
Picture the left so thoroughly blown out, so demoralized, so suddenly realizing that all their hopes and dreams are GONE for the next 16 years at best.
Downside? Riots on the floor. It’ll happen.
I pretty much agree with youa take on a Prez HC scenario, but I think she’d be more aggressive in war activities - just to end it and take credit for the win.
In the end, Obama’s stupidity is resulting in America going a lot further to the right, which would NOT have happened with HC, but man, the cost of that is pretty high. Hopefully Palin can enact policies to direct our collective fat from the fire.
I only worry that even if she surpassed the greatness of Ronaldus Magnus, it still may not be enough.
Post of the day!
Whose buying the Gingrich tee shirts???
Depends on what’s the shirt.
If it says “Callista and Eye of Newt” that’s not necessarily a good thing.
HC is obama lite. They are very similar in their liberal theology. Things may have gone a little slower down that marxist path with her, but, down that path they would’ve gone. What part of Clintons don’t you understand? They are just as entrenched with the progressive/marxist teachings as zero is.
Maybe Santorum supporters—so they can remain incognito.
Obama voters do not need a T-shirt. They are easily recognisable.
ROTFLOLOL.
I would like to see what Obama’s numbers are if Palin is beating him that would really say something.
Be still my beating heart! LOL
Seriously, I honestly believe we're headed toward that scenario. Who are you thinking for the second eight years?
I am sorry hear that you are no longer in favor of clean floors. /s

You betcha is right! I wore a Sarah 2012 Moose shirt to her book signing last November. She gave a hearty laugh and smile when she saw it. She will crush the RINOcrats.
>On the radio someone said they saw a bumper sticker that read: And you thought BUSH sucked????<
I want one. Working in the libtard-fag enclave of Hollywood, and that would be sweet.
Mitt’s merchandise sales may be lagging now, but the excitement is building. I heard that Mitt’s uncle just bought a T-shirt today!
I was thinking the same thing. I'd like to see the CafePress sales stats for Obama gear vs Palin gear. I'm sure Obama would squirt his shorts if they posted them, side by side.
Don't put it past Mitt to put in an order for a couple million t-shirts, himself, just to skew the sales stats.
You misunderstood my point. Then again, I can understand why - If I saw that posted on FR I’d probably jump too ;) The context of what I/we were getting at is that BO has been SO over the top Horrid that HC, who none of us love and have railed against for years, would have been a far better choice. THAT is BAD! ;)
Of course she’s ‘Obama Lite” and that’s the thing ‘LITE’ as in no where near as bad. I was around under the Clinton stupidity. Believe me, I remember Whitewater, cattle futures and the Village.
I’d love to see Alan West based on his military career and sacrificing it rather than play PC BS to keep it. Yea he xcrewed the pooch on the Pigford vote - not his best move, but he owned up to it without making 1000 excuses. Not thrilled but I’ll give him a pass - freshman mistake. Even with that goof he’s the best out there.
I also -love- Trent Franks but as solid a man as he is and for all the good he has done (always on the right side of the voting), I can’t see him as Prez. If he were more forward (pretty reserved) I’d say VP material.
I’ve been thinking for some time that West would be an awesome running mate for Sarah. Only problem is, he’s a freshman House rep, and not well known to a lot of Americans (although I know he’d correct that in short order).
He’s got the ‘right stuff’, but what does he bring to the ticket, politically-wise? As a House rep, he’s not going to swing an entire state or region, with his scant influence (like a sitting Senator might).
Ideologically, he’s on the same page with Palin, so he doesn’t bring in another voting block that’s beyond her reach, which is one of the primary considerations that presidential nominees use in choosing a running mate.
He’s not going to bring more black voters to Palin’s side, than what she’s probably already going to get. Ideology trumps race, with that demographic.
Still, there’s a lot to be said for bringing him onboard. He and Sarah’s gears mesh seamlessly, and they would make a terrific duo. There’s no doubt in my mind that they’d shake up the Washington establishment like no ticket in the last 100 years.
They’d also get an unbelievably enthusiastic welcome from the patriot / Tea Party (i.e., normal American) crowd. I think West would be a turbo-booster to her campaign for president.
