Why is it so important to declare more than eight months before the first caucus? I have never gotten the need for an 18 month campaign, but hey thats just me.

What I think most people don't understand is that the “she is not running narrative” is the establishment's counterattack for the strategy that Palin is employing. It is their attempt to bleed support, funds and enthusiasm from her. It is the proper strategy to employ by the establishment and her political opponents. I think if more people understood this the counterattack would be muted.

And Palin’s bus tour, her appearance in IA her media appearances etc are ways Palin is countering their attack.

Now the only way to completely defeat this narrative is with an announcement but at that moment Palin opens herself for other attacks. She has made the decision that the “she is not running narrative” for now is the easier attack to blunt because of her strong support levels of the base.

It gives her more time to gel her campaign themes, work on her stump speeches, plan her campaign and it saves her money.

Notice that each time the media's “she's not running” narrative gets the upper hand Palin swoops in with some appearance to continue to keep her name in the mix.

Like all battle plans this will have to change as conditions on the ground dictate but for now Palin is controlling the field. the declared candidates aren't taking hold and thus she has more time to “declare” I say at the end of July she will restart her bus tour and by the end of Aug she will wind it up with an announcement.

Unless the conditions dictate otherwise.

3 -- For what possible reason would Mrs. Palin need a movie about her political career?

Especially considering its perfectly-timed release date.

I'd bet that she's running. ....although I wouldn't quite bet the farm.

75% sure she's running.

To me, she's the perfect candidate for the times we face. She's grounded and she's real. She understands middle America and the working class. She is an American success story. She is a Conservative. She has experience with and wants domestic oil exploration and production. She wants to reduce taxes and cut Government. She believes in the private sector and is a Capitalist. She has a rare quality of communicating directly with the voter. The Left hates her, the Media hates her and the Blue blood Republicans hate her. She is everything Obama will never be. Lastly, I believe she is dumb like a fox and is a brilliant politician.

The only way to verify what I believe is if she runs. If she doesn't, it's our Country's loss.

So what's not to like?

I've talked about this once before. She needs to declare now or get off. I'm very impatient, even though I support her immensely.....Michelle Bachmann is looking good to me as a backup from which I won't depart if Sarah demurs too much longer. Stop the maneuvering, Sarah. Do what your heart says now.

“What’s your take on this?”

Well, it certainly looks like she is going to run to me. However, a friend postulated an idea about this that could be plausible.

He thinks Sarah does not intend to run and is simply staying in public view to draw fire so the media won’t go after the persons that are running - like Bachman. She is doing a “selfless” act to protect others. She is messing with the press to keep them off balance so they cannot coordinate attacks against the real candidates.

I don’t think he is right about Palin not running. However, I think his assessment of her character and motivation to help/protect is not without merit. So, I am not dismissing his view. He could be right.

Oh, it’s clear Gov. Palin is running for President. The only question is in which election cycle? This one, or in a later one? She could play kingmaker in exchange for a cabinet post this time, then run in 2020 if the GOP win this time, or make a Senate run if the GOP lose, and run in 2016.

She’s running. And she will win the Pubbie nomination, and then she will whip OBasturd’s Marxist a**. You can take it to the bank.

It’s just not yet a strategic time to announce. All kinds of campaign laws kick in once she announces, restricting her personal ability to make money, and so on, so why kick that sleeping bear until it is necessary.

Follow this same logic and you'd have to conclude Newt Gingrich is a sincere and authentic presidential candidate.

He went through all the motions -- at least up until he took that vacation overseas.

But it doesn't look like he is in it to win it.

Palin may be running.

But I'd love to do all the stuff she's doing now without the downside of getting elected president.

Who wouldn't?

My take. I believe she has too much character to play coy and then bug out and run away from a fight vs Obama. I think, like me, she knows a second term of his would be a disaster. To wait and muddle through another four years would put our country at risk.

I think that most of her negatives were invented. She can overcome just by being herself and showing the electorate who she is, bypassing the press as much as possible.

Her decency shines through. It’s a kind of magic that I’ve not seen in a politician since RR. She defies easy analysis.

If I’m wrong about her and she does not declare,
