Rick Perry, the Mosque and his agreement with Muslims
The Ismali ^

Posted on 06/30/2011 1:32:04 AM PDT by BereanBrain

Austin, Texas, 30 October 2009 — At the invitation of Texas State Governor Rick Perry, Mawlana Hazar Imam traveled to Austin yesterday to sign an Agreement of Cooperation between the State of Texas and the Ismaili Imamat. During the visit, Hazar Imam and Governor Perry also held talks at the State Capitol on a range of issues of mutual interest

Describing the importance of the agreement, Governor Perry explained that “traditional Western education speaks little of the influence of Muslim scientists, scholars, throughout history, and for that matter the cultural treasures that stand today in testament to their wisdom.”

Rick Perry is a SLICK POLITICIAN.

Gee, I wonder why Christians don't get level of access? Where is our agreement, and visits....we just get pandering statements.

Did you know he also sent a brick to dedicate their new mosque?

Who are these great Muslim scientists and scholars? Beheaded before their time, perhaps? “Wisdom” and “cultural treasures” as well? Do tell, Gov. Pander, ...errr... Perry. Oh, “Kill the infidels” and “burquas” you say. Well, at least the charred ruins of Alexandria’s library is QUITE a monument, I must admit! Bob

traditional accurate Western education speaks little of the influence of Muslims.

We don't allow the Jivaro headhunters to practice their "religion"! Why the Slimes???? There's not much difference between them!

you won’t hear about this in the press.

They want us Republican to nominate a RINO, then just before the election they suddenly “find out” about his Muslim agreements, The TTC, Gardasil, the relatives who are lobbyists, etc etc.

That’s a “bye-bye, Rick” for me—though I was never pleased that Perry was being touted for president.

OMG. Rick Perry shook hands and signed a cultural exchange agreement with an Arab businessman?!

Damn. That is IT. I have HAD IT. I’m just going to vote Obama in 2012. < \sarcasm>

Anyone bother to look at this “Muslim”’s record? He is about as far removed from Osama bin Laden’s philosophy as James Madison is from Barack Hussein Obama: yes, both occupied the White House, but one was a protector of liberty and the other may as spit on our founding documents.

The problem is not and never was Osama Bin Laden’s “philosophy”.
The problem is the teachings actually in the Koran and the Hadith.

You get an F - in knowledge of Islam.

Moderate Islam is as acceptable as moderate euthenasia.

Actually this sect of Islam is a non violent group that has only about 2+ million followers that believes the current imam is the voice of Allah on earth. They are described as shirk or non practicing muslim by Sunni’s and shia’s they wont last if real followers of Islam decide to turn on them.

You have one problem... even holder's fbi and obama’s dhs say that the VAST MAJORITY of mosques are breeding grounds for terrorist candidates. There is no reason to reach out to these people. Wise up... there are no good devout muslims... read their koran... ask Colonel Allen West if you doubt me.

“Rick Perry is a SLICK POLITICIAN.”

Scratch him off my Presidential list. We have already seen what a Muslim enabler in the White House can do.

What cultural treasures?

Thanks for adding a little insight into this. PDS should now stand for Perry Derangement Syndrome as well as Palin DS. There are many here whom I suspect of being Democrat moles.

However, Perry should be made aware that the mathematical and scientific advances attributed to the Arabs ended with Mohammed's arrival on the scene. I do not object to his being polite and complimentary to his visitors, keeping in mind that he was not so with Obama, a good thing. Some here in Texas criticized him for speaking Spanish, in which he is fluent, at an appearance in Los Angeles. That is how far the PDS has gone with some.

I approve of Perry though he may not be perfect. I would be happy with him as our nominee, just as I would with most of the others, except Romney, but I would take Romney over Obama.

What a crock! Who are these scientists and scholars? (You can't be much of a scholar if you are only allowed to read one book.) What does Perry want next: a book about great Kenyan philosophers? The "cultural treasures" such as they are, have been built on top of some vanquished peoples former treasures. Were talking about an entire group of people that would still be using camels for transportation during the day and for amusement at night were it not for their contact with the West.

Gee Don’t all Muslims read the same Book? The Koran?

Does this guy have a different version?

I think someone needs to rethink their position.

He's one of the few who get it. View this short video where he states most eloquently that Muslims- ALL Muslims are the enemy.

Those of us from Texas know Rick Perry as a political whore. If he was in Massachusets he would have a health care bill.

He has lasted so long because he has been fortunate in his election opponents. He isn't that bad, but I just don't see him as the man for the times. Put him in Washington and he will fit right in. He and Romney have more in common than good hair.

People outside Texas who are promoting him for president don't know him.
