Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin was met by a gaggle of reporters outside of Philadelphia's Independence Hall Tuesday, on day three of her "One Nation" bus tour.
The question du jour: Will she or won't she run for president?
The would-be-candidate once again refused to "put a timetable" on when she will announce her decision, but when asked by CBS affiliate WKYW if she could beat President Obama, Palin replied, "To put it concisely - yes."
Palin also noted her belief that most of the Republicans in the field "have a very good chance" of beating the president, and specifically said she liked Texas Governor Rick Perry, who told reporters last week he was contemplating his own bid to unseat Obama.
"This isn't all about me; it's about the real change that our country needs, and not just me but other potential candidates and candidates declared," she said.
Reporters who have been following the bus tour have been given little guidance by Palin's team, and have accused Palin of being coy with the press....

“It isnt the Right I am worried about...its Independents, esp. Women independents.”
And why exactly wouldn’t the female independents vote for Palin?
It would be my guess that she would get the majority of the female vote. Independents are not as a group stupid... And the female ones that are stupid would vote for her because she’s a woman.
Get flammed for being fearful? No, you’re just a victim of propaganda. They use it because it works on some and that some enjoy spreading it.
With so much time on their hands - why don’t they check up on Barry and dig up his past and leave the private citizen and her family alone.
Any reason you are ignoring the tens of thousands of people/voters who are coming out to see her at every stop she makes that warrant such coverage? Are you honestly going to tell me that SP is not enjoying Ronald Reagan levels of public support? Are you kidding me?
Not only is she running, she will win in a landslide. I have been right the 4 of the last 5 elections including this last Tea Party victory. The one I was wrong about was McCain who was not my choice.
If anybody can give me one good reason America would vote for obozo, I’m all ears. Don’t give me the press, we’ve beat them before. Mostly you are all a bunch of doomsdayers adn always have been.
Pray for America
Was Reagan ever viewed unfavorably by ~60% of the country while he was running?
I’m not saying it’s impossible for Palin to win, but I talk to lots of mushy middle ground types, and almost universally they dislike Palin even more than they dislike Obama.
It’s not enough for Obama to have a high disapproval rating, it has to be higher than the person running against him.
I’ll give Palin some credit - she seems to have gotten overall a favorable response (from people who matter) this weekend...but show me a poll showing her negatives falling to 50 or below and I’ll start believing she can win.
That is something to be proud of... I am the same.

I think I see the problem. You are relying on MSM polling to inform your opinion rather than the evidence of your own eyes.
The turnout she is getting now is the same turnout she has gotten all along. Remember the tea party rally in Searchlight? I live near there. It was a zoo! Same goes for each and every appearance she makes. Book tour? Mobbed. Wisconson? Mobbed.
Polls? They poll their own!! OF COURSE she has high ‘unfavorables! But the people out here seem to not give a tinkers damn about polls when they come out in the tens of thousands for a look at her.
She represents a way away from the Obama method of bankrupting the country... and believe me, by the election, he will have bankrupted many more with his no energy policy and attacks on random countries and his EPA stupidity and, and, and....
Here you go... how about 65% were dissatisfied by the job that Reagan was doing... 35% approval rating... but he came back strong and so will his protege Palin. Here is the link and the article:

Gallup Poll Finds Rise In Approval of Reagan
Published: March 17, 1983
Public approval of President Reagan's handling of his job increased significantly last month for the first time in more than a year, according to the Gallup Poll. Key factors in the rise were enhanced support of Mr. Reagan from Republicans and independents.
Forty percent of the public approved of his job performance in a poll conducted from Feb. 25 to 28, up from 35 percent in January. The last time that the Gallup Poll measured an increase of more than one percentage point was in October 1981, when approval of Mr. Reagan rose to 56 percent from 52 percent the month before. These polls have a margin of sampling error of three percentage points.
There was some indication in the poll that belief that the economy was improving helped Mr. Reagan's standing. Two-thirds of those who approved, but only one-sixth of those who disapproved”

The polls were mostly right in ‘10...including the one showing Christine O’Donnell getting her butt handed to her, despite what some here insisted.
“Face it, the lib media, Country Club Rinos, & FReepeRino’s are in denial bigtime.”
I could understand if they would just say, “look, I don’t like her and I’m voting for X” but this “She can’t win crap is just that...crap.
Will they vote for her if she’s the nominated candidate? That’s all one needs to know. Let the naysayers answer that honestly and that answers who and what they really are.
You obviously don't know technology. A cleaning cloth would jam the fax machine. You have to attach it to an email.
“Mostly” as in room for error? I have seen plenty of botched polling and so have you. It isn’t what I am insisting, look around you, not ‘in here’ but ‘out there’.
so sorry; I’ll take Sarah’s opinion over yours!
I’m just sayin....when you gonna meet jack ?
Most of the Palin-haters here cannot say why they don’t like her. Blah blah, can’t win, blah blah, look at MSM polls, blah blah... I think many are Obama-loving community agitators posing as FReepers.
Many of them are. Example: When I used to be Senior Ed. at www.off-road.com back in the 2000 era we had many Sierra Clubbers on our boards posing as ‘concerned off-roaders upset with our environmental stance’. Same poop, different poopers. ;)
