Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin was met by a gaggle of reporters outside of Philadelphia's Independence Hall Tuesday, on day three of her "One Nation" bus tour.
The question du jour: Will she or won't she run for president?
The would-be-candidate once again refused to "put a timetable" on when she will announce her decision, but when asked by CBS affiliate WKYW if she could beat President Obama, Palin replied, "To put it concisely - yes."
Palin also noted her belief that most of the Republicans in the field "have a very good chance" of beating the president, and specifically said she liked Texas Governor Rick Perry, who told reporters last week he was contemplating his own bid to unseat Obama.
"This isn't all about me; it's about the real change that our country needs, and not just me but other potential candidates and candidates declared," she said.
Reporters who have been following the bus tour have been given little guidance by Palin's team, and have accused Palin of being coy with the press....

She’s more qualified than Obama. But she would lose and we would have 4 more years of this national disaster.

Good for you: Using a left-wing slime attack against a staunch, strong conservative woman who might easily be our next president. You’ve been here how long?

I love Sarah (see my tagline)
But Perry is another Bush “conservative” - i.e., he’s NOT a conservative.

They can't seem to get this part strait. To the occupation media:
Nobody wants you.
Nobody likes you.
Nobody trusts you.
People don't believe you.
People hate you.
People want to see you gone.

They were saying the same thing about Reagan at this point in the 1980 campaign and he wiped the floor with Carter.
Don't give up your day job, your political prognostication skills are lacking.
To: pleikumud
I’m confident she’d win. She has a strong foundation in leadership and conservative principles. She doesn’t say one thing to one audience and something different to another. She doesn’t care what the media thinks and her strong character will draw others to her because this country is desperate for leadership. I hope she runs.

Palin will mop the floor with Obama.

-"she would lose" Not even a year from the election, and you've apparently let others decide what to think. Not much of a fighter in that statement.

Pretty much everyone running has a good chance at beating Obama, Palin included. We are running against the poorest performing president since (at least) Carter. Palin would have to have a heck of a campaign to reverse some of the negative numbers in polling, but she likely has the capability to do so. I like that the field is starting to look very crowded so we will have a winner emerge who is battle-tested. My biggest fear after Huck and Daniels declined to run was that we were going to start with a whittled down field and someone would win by default. With Palin, Bachmann, possibly Perry and others joining Pawlenty, Cain and Romney, someone will have to perform very well to emerge as the winner.
