Trump Knocks Obama, Calls Romney ‘Small’.
The Wall Street Journal's Washington Wire ^ | April 17, 2011 | Neil King Jr.

Posted on 04/17/2011 11:18:37 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

To hear The Donald tell it, he totally trumps President Barack Obama as a messenger and far outweighs Mitt Romney as a businessman.

Riding a surge in the polls recently, Donald Trump let loose on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday, blaming Mr. Obama for soaring oil prices and disparaging Mr. Romney, the former Massachusetts governor and his potential rival for the 2012 Republican nomination, as “basically small business guy.”

Showing his usual flair for letting it rip, Mr. Trump said the U.S. had become “a laughingstock throughout the world” under Mr. Obama.

Were he president, Mr. Trump said, he would force the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries’ major producers to lower oil prices—even though OPEC has no direct control over the price of oil—and would have invaded Libya “to take the oil” and not just to unseat leader Moammar Gadhafi.

When the CNN host, Candy Crowley, expressed dismay over the comment, Mr. Trump elaborated: “I’d take the oil. I’d give them plenty so they can live very happily. I would take the oil.”

He expressed nostalgia for “the old days, when you have a war and you win, that nation is yours.”

I like what he’s doing on the BC issue too.

But I’m just saying if he becomes the nominee, let’s not delude ourselves into thinking he’s something he’s not.

Because anyone who believes Trump is a conservative, with all that’s coming out, is a damned idiot.

>>>>>>Thanks for proving my point.

That you smoke crack? You're welcome.

At this point, "support" and "elect" are kinda intertwined in the general debate.

Doesn't matter to me wtf comes out of Trump's mouth. He's a liar and can't be trusted. Obviously my attack on Trump upset you. Why you trumpsters so whiny?

Funny how all you Trumpettes are now excusing his dealings with George Soros and the associated quid-pro-quo’s...

Obama + Soros = Bad
Trump + Soros = Good?

I’m sure I’m not alone when I say that you seem quite unset that Trump is kicking Obama’s ass. Sorry, but it looks like Trump is doing what he can to make sure your guy will not be getting a second term.

~Cheers

At this point, Trump is simply doing the job that the current cast of RINO minions won’t. He is calling Obama out and it IS hurting him. Why everyone that loves this country isn’t happy about it, is beyond me.

"I wouldn’t call Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Haley Barbour or even Tim Pawlenty socialists or recent born conservatives like Trump."

I wouldn't either. BUT, Trump's run in the polls I think is VERY instructive for those candidates, and any candidates that are thinking about running. Trump is unafraid of the media, and he's unapologetic and he fights back without being strident or whinny - very much like another guy who's popular, but really not very conservative, Chris Christie.

Trump is creating a framework for others to follow, if they can. Unfortunately, that's a very big "if".

Trump is doing Gods work here—Bashing the Poser in chief and the Plastic Mormon Mitt. Good—keep up the work. I like his old school ideas of conquest. When the Arabs use oil for weapons—we should use weapons for weapons. Give them a fair price but take the oil—That being said we still should drill our own, use our own coal and build Nuclear plants better than the Japanese. Trump—be he president or not—is doing the work the GOP should have done in 2008.

"We have twin Cummins 550’s"

If fuel prices keep climbing at the rate they have, you'll need to take out a second mortgage just to turn those bad-boys over, to say nothing of actually going anyplace.

I have noticed in just the past few weeks, a pronounced drop in go-fast boats around here (Miami).

Just reviewed my replies to you. Never mentioned Obama, not once. Clearly, you’re the one who is supporting Trump, not me. If you took a break from the crackpipe, you might come to your senses and realize how dumb you sound.

Trump won’t tell you the truth. Trump will tell you what you want to hear.

Trump on Palin, “Sarah Palin is somebody that I happen to like, I just don’t think she can win the election, and a lot of people agree.”

I think Trump will force Sarah to elevate her game, so that could be a win right there.

As a former supporter of the war in Iraq, I can see why Trump opposes it.

Over 4,000 American DEAD

Over 30,000 American wounded

No weapons of mass destruction found

After eight years of war, was Bush “wrong”? I am sorry to say he was. So was I for supporting it. May God forgive us.

You see Trump as a force for good, I do not.

Maybe its my being an ex-newyorker, but Trump comes across to me as unprincipled and a lout. At times, this egotist is almost gangster-like, as though he was channeling John Gotti or playing Tony Saprano. A real phony.

When all this hubbub about Trump started about two weeks ago on FR, I said they were giving far too much credit to Trump on the BC issue. His epiphany at CPAC2011 can not be taken seriously.

According to our friend, who is a boat dealer, the Boston Boat show was a huge success especially in the big boat category. Saw premium gas this morning at $4.29. Our summer floating home is going to be just that floating, not moving.
