"I wouldn’t call Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Haley Barbour or even Tim Pawlenty socialists or recent born conservatives like Trump."

I wouldn't either. BUT, Trump's run in the polls I think is VERY instructive for those candidates, and any candidates that are thinking about running. Trump is unafraid of the media, and he's unapologetic and he fights back without being strident or whinny - very much like another guy who's popular, but really not very conservative, Chris Christie.

Trump is creating a framework for others to follow, if they can. Unfortunately, that's a very big "if".

You see Trump as a force for good, I do not.

Maybe its my being an ex-newyorker, but Trump comes across to me as unprincipled and a lout. At times, this egotist is almost gangster-like, as though he was channeling John Gotti or playing Tony Saprano. A real phony.

When all this hubbub about Trump started about two weeks ago on FR, I said they were giving far too much credit to Trump on the BC issue. His epiphany at CPAC2011 can not be taken seriously.
