Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has weighed into Texas politics again by backing Republican Stephen Broden against incumbent US Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson in Dallas.
Broden has been a regular speaker at North Texas Tea Party events for over a year, regularly drawing standing ovations for preaching against President Obama's "godless socialism."
Palin posted the endorsement on her Facebook page on Tuesday but the news had already come out over the weekend. On Sunday, Star-Telegram writer Anna Tinsley reported that Broden was introduced at the Wake Up America Tea Party at the Fort Worth Convention Center as the latest politician to get Palin's seal of approval.
Johnson has come under fire in recent weeks for awarding scholarships to relatives and children of one of her aides...

What’s sad is that she will easily get re-elected.
I donated yesterday.
Longtime Dallas congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson has awarded thousands of dollars in college scholarships to four relatives and a top aide’s two children since 2005, using foundation funds set aside for black lawmakers’ causes.

I doubt that...once the commercials of her corruption hits ...
*That* will be sad and sickening.
We must believe! It CAN happen here. Even WBAP's Mark Davis, who was a tad skeptical initially, is now coming on board.
Rebellion is brewing...
Bless you. Pastor Broden sounds like a good man.
Good move!!! If the Black American voters have any brains & common sense they will broom Johnson, and all like her into the flushing toilet. It’s time for American Blacks to stop the racial charade, assimilate into the general USA society and move forward with deliberate speed to freedom, education, opportunity and American success. Hanging in there with America Hater, POTUS Barack Hussein Obama, his wife, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the NAACP and the CBC, etc. ain’t gonna cut it no more!!! Get real folks, or life is going to get worse than Obama and his elitist ilk has made it for you. Obama is no friend or ally of the Black man, never was and never will be!!! End of story!!!
She needs to lose.
Prayers that Pastor Broden soundly defeats her.
You're almost certainly right, but if Billy Jefferson can go down in flames and see a Republican get elected in his liberal black racist New Orleans district, then maybe lightning can strike twice and Broden can pull it out in the liberal black racist Dallas district.
And then Eddie Berniece Johnson can go to jail where she richly belongs.
I have seen him speak. Seems like the real deal. I’ll do what I can to help him. A black conservative is probably a hard sell in Fair Park.

This guy on the left?
Is he popular?
BTTT
It’s really time to get with it. Elect honest, conservative black people.
Very likely the case with this district. It is a Texas set aside.
16.8% White,
39.1% Black,
1.3% Asian,
41.2% Hispanic,
0.5% Native American,
1.1% other
Less than one in ten blacks ever vote Republican. All she would need is one in four Hispanics and she still wins, even if whites vote for Broden 100%. And she'll get a LOT more than just one in four Hispanics.
Texas's 30th congressional district:
16.8% White
39.1% Black
1.3% Asian
41.2% Hispanic
0.5% Native American
1.1% other
Is he popular?
Yes, the fellow on the left with the handheld mic is Mark Davis. As far as politically-oriented talk shows go in the region, he is popular.
Davis does fill in on occasion for Rush Limbaugh and sometimes draws unfavorable comments here on FR. I perceive him as more Republican than a die-hard Conservative. He also has a libertarian streak as well as being pragmatic (often to a fault). The latter trait is why I was surprised to hear of his support for Stephen Broden.
He seems to be the real-deal...TX would do good to have him representing them!
