McCain has got an 80 - 55 % advantage over Obama regarding his ability to be Commander in Chief. Hmmm. Interesting.

How does one lead 80% to 55%?

More of those parts of a poll that the MSM ignores. They just pick out what fits their agenda.

I read that as his score was 80 which was 55% higher than Obama’s.

It’s not a direct comparison.
80% think McCain can lead vs. not
55% think Obama can lead vs. not
Awkward wording by the “source.”
To: Phantom Lord
..ie, a lot of folks must have scored positive for both.

They were actually phrased as two separate questions. If you look at each question, the sum of the percentages is <100%.
To: mnehrling
But they’re going to vote for Obama anyway because they think being an effective Commander in Chief is less important than being a “lightworker”.

Ironic, I think Bill Clinton made a better CIC than Obama would. At least Bill Clinton never made vague references to putting the Pentagon on trial.

80% is a massive number. Especially for a non-incumbent, non-VP looking to move up.
When is the last time such a candidate got such a high result?

Problem there being that Iraq is no longer the number one issue in the election.

Right. But keep the CIC advantage, add energy, reform and economy advantages and he’d be set. If McCain can get that message out and be effectively organized on the ground, he’s golden.
To: 9YearLurker
If you add “Stop kicking conservatives in the crotch at every opportunity” then I believe he’d win by around 10 points.

Obama as CIC will be the American equivalent of Neville Chamberlain. Smile real big for the cameras, waive a sheaf of papers and wait for the war to start.
