Giuliani Notes: Dollars for Rudy (Upcoming Fundraisers for Mayor Rudy Giuliani)
Flapsblog ^ | Jan 27, 2007

January 29, 2007

A Giuliani fund-raiser will be held Jan. 29 in Pacific Palisades, Calif., at the home of Bill Simon, the 2002 Republican candidate for governor of California, costing $2,300 a person and $4,600 per couple.

January 30, 2007:

Mary Bono’s campaign is sponsoring a golf event to raise funds for Giuliani’s committee on Tuesday, at the Rancho Mirage home and golf course of Edra Blixseth, Porcupine Creek Golf Club. Information: (310) 500-4284 or by e-mail at events@marybono.com

February 1, 2007:

Texas Republican contributors are being solicited to spend $30,000 for dinner with former New York City Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani at the Houstonian Hotel in Houston Feb. 1 to finance his “presidential exploratory committee.” The “private” dinner will follow a 6:30 to 8 p.m. cocktail reception, costing $2,100 a person and $4,200 for couples.

The best-known host of Giuliani’s Houston event is billionaire oilman T. Boone Pickens Jr., chairman of the private equity firm BP Capital Management. Also on Giuliani’s Texas fund-raising team are Tom Hicks, whose company owns the Texas Rangers baseball team; oil industry executive Jim Lee; and lawyer Patrick C. Oxford.

But please answer: How do you feel you are doing so far in preventing abortions nation-wide?

So, you think I'm morally bankrupt? :-)

And do you think you have any chance of saving the country from us morally bankrupt types? :-)

You could always leave and start your own country :-)

See if you can read and comprehend this since you are such a pro-life person from behind a keyboard.

You cherry picked what I said in my entire comment. Typical liberal deal -- spin and take out a small part. What I said was part of an overall comment. You have questioned me being pro-life so read below and see if you are able to comprehend why I am pro-life and probably have done more than you have ever thought of doing:

Have you ever been in a hospital bed almost dying from an infection after your son was born and they performed a partial birth abortion in the next bed and killed a baby that was two weeks younger then my oldest daughter when she was born at 28 weeks. Well I went through that and went to the local and state pro-life people for help in nailing these people and you know what they told me -- go hire a lawyer. I got my doctor and a lawyer to help me fight to revoke their licenses to practice in the hospital or anyplace else -- two doctors and four nurses. They were suspended permanently from the hospital and licenses revoked for a year. After it was done and we had spent the money to go after these lowlifes, the right to life state chair had the audacity to ask me if they could use my story and I told her no. You didn't support me when I needed it the most so don't bother.

I know young women in college who went to the pro-life groups for help and they didn't have time to talk to them. I paid for one of them to get a lawyer so she would have the baby and give it up for adoption immediately to a couple who had wanted children their whole life.

Don't go lecturing me about pro-life groups unless you have walked in my shoes and you obviously haven't. Now you know why I have little use for them -- seen their lack of assistance too often but when it comes to grandstanding around here they do it well.

You don't have to belong to a pro-life organized group to be pro-life. I spoke out to many groups over the years about my experience and why it is important to consider other options because we are dealing with an innocent baby even if they haven't been born. I did it on my own not as some organized group.

You and your ilk should have learned a long time ago that we come from different walks of life before lecturing people on how superior you are.

What is "arrogant" about posting one's views, and who one thinks is the wisest choice to carry the GOP banner into battle, be it who can win, who is best to unite to wage the war on terror, etc.? This is a site of opinion. To post such opinions in good spirit, without malice, is surely not infra dig. It is what we do.

You cherry picked what I said in my entire comment

YOU ARE THE ONE who impunged the motives of pro-life organizations.

YOU ARE THE ONE who then compared them to the ACLU.

THESE ARE YOUR WORDS. NOT MINE.

It is arrogant to tell the GOP base that they are not needed to win.

Margaret Sanger, the mother of the modern pro-abortion cult, was a eugenicist and a vile racist. She particularly hated babes such as the one above. Unfortunately, because of politicians like your hero Giuliani, her goals for extermination of minorities have succeeded, probably beyond her wildest imaginings. Do you you applaud that fact?

Can you believe that statement? First time I saw it I reread it and couldn't believe anyone would make such a statement.

Common sense is missing around here but then more people read these threads because of controversy.

Keyes folks are alive and well again and have something to fight against. Rudy must really be picking up traction as they are going over the edge!

Well, then, that settles it.

Hillary can raise the most money. She will be the next president. No use wasting any more time, money or effort.

Whatever the "base" is. Myself, I prefer to try to think about what unites, not divides. Having said that, of course, the GOP primary should be robust. Let it all hang out, sharp elbows and all. Let the voters decide.

You do not unite the base by saying their concerns do not matter, as the Rudy boosters have done much too often on FR.

And if you read my post above, you will see why I said what I did. Sorry to disappoint but you can be pro-life and not be part of an organized group.

You all are not winning people to the pro-life side by attacking people who are pro-life because of who we support. No wonder folks like you have driven people from the Republican Party because you leave no room for anyone other than you own personal position.

Last post you will receive from me because you obviously did not read my post above that explained what I have done in my life about being pro-life.

Other than reflexive Keyes bashing, I have not read much of that. But on some matters, those within the tent really will disagree. We are not all clones of one another. We all have our own conscience, and experiences, and intellectual portfolios.

I just heard on Fox News that Hillary said today, that it is Pres. Bush's responsibility to have all of the troops out of Iraq before 2008..

That it would be the height of irresponsibility to pass this war onto the next President!!!

This woman has no clue what war means..

Worse yet, she has no business seeking the office of CIC and she must be defeated.

Hillary and her party are the enemy, and people here apparently need reminding.
