A Tuesday afternoon game, that sucks! So much for a productive afternoon at the office. Half my crew is going to end up with "doctor appointments" and "family emergencies." Damn.

Thanks! I've been base-a-ball challenged all summer.

This is actually a good thing. Another day to cool tempers on both sides.
I've already got my wife to give me a karmic hug this afternoon. Ah, she's an inventive lass. Inspired by Bettie Page.
Made me forget a lot today.

My Granddaughter got baptized to day and it poured in NE Mass. The outfield was probably to soft to play, think monsoon wet.

Now the LoSox can completely skip pitching their worst pitcher (John Burkett) in this series and go with Wakefield in game 4 instead, if they so choose. They'd then have Lowe going in game 5 and Pedro in game 6 (if necessary). If the Sox can somehow push this thing to game 7, they'd probably start Burkett and empty out their pen at the first sign of trouble, using anybody and everybody (including Wakefield, Lowe, and even Pedro)....even for only a batter or two at a time.
But it doesn't matter -- all this does is prolong the Yankees' inevitable trip to the World Series.

Yeah, that should be fun. If there were no rain delay today, Pedro would've had to wait for an unlikely game 7 to pitch at the Stadium. Now he's scheduled for a (much more likely) game 6.

This is good for the Sox. A day to settle down. They need to switch Wakefield with Burkett. Knuckleballers can pitch longer because they don't put any spin on the ball. The Yankees will have a hit fest with Burkett. Time for Grady Little to use a little psyco strategy.
Come back and kick the criminal Yankees butts. Defy the CURSE. Go Red Sox!!!

Can the fans slug it out, even though the game is postponed? LOL... I assume the beer stands in Fenway were open for business as usual. If not, there are plenty of bars right next to the ball park.
