#193: Who will ask McClintock to step aside? ^ To: strela
Honestly, I don't care if these Tombots are being paid by the DNC, by the Indian casino interests, by the SEIU labor union, or are just True Believer losers. Their willingness to see the state slide further into ruin in order to prove a political point leads one to believe they are a few fries short of a happy meal.

I hope it's just the case that she's on vacation but, if she's feeling a little under the weather . . . Get well and come back soon, CJ!

This is just wild speculation on my part but I have been a FRiend of CJ's ever since I have been here. BTW I didn't know he was a she. LOL This McClintock/AS war is akin to the civil war and brother against brother battles have been raging. CJ, I and 2 other posters have never before disagreed on issues until this California debacle started and it has been relly nasty. It is my guess that CJ has decided to avoid the loss of good friends by taking a break until after the election.

Where is Cultural Jihad? In the kitchen with Dinah, struggling on the old banjo.

I think that FR will somehow struggle along without our resident cultural nazi.

I was absent from the boards for two full months (went on a long hiking trip). Nobody missed me. Maybe I wasn't provocative enough. On a forum with over 100,000 members, though, I can see how one person might slip away unnoticed.
Still, there are days I envy the posters that have achieved renown, whether good or bad. The kind where, when my screen name is cited, people think "Oh, he's the guy who..."
Does anyone out there ever wonder how many people truly remember their contributions to FR? Maybe it's a low self-esteem on my part. I guess it's better to be unheralded than famous for some negative reason.

I will sometimes take a hiatus from FR because it is so addictive and I must attend other matters. For instance, I did not log on at all from April until late July.
Not that anyone noticed and posted a vanity in search of me. ;0)

Where is Ms. Cultural Jihad?

Dec31,1999 is Cultural Jihad behind the burka!
Cultural Jihad is the kind of person I would not invite to a party. He was to condescending and not very cultural.
You say Cultural Jihad is a female, not in a million years!

Thanks for your concerns and prayers, Dec31,1999 and others. I just needed a break from posting last month after the needless rancor of the recall election threads.
Unfortunately I was unable to get a write-in campaign off the ground for Pope John Paul II, seeing that most people were supposedly too involved in realism, pragmatism, and selling out of their principles to care about supporting a real conservative in the election. I wrongly figured that people would flock to the slogan of "A beatific vision in every pot."
We all have much more in common in things that are really important than we have differences in things that are not, and sex is one of those superficial differences, at least as far as this fellow sees it.
Sometimes we drive around in a red car, and sometimes in a blue car; the important thing is to be mindful of the destination and reach it safely. ;-)
