My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I... And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight... Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair... bentfeather©

We need one before we become the Land of Bable. Immigrants in the past adapted to our ways. Immigrants of the present are catered to by our Political Correct gummit. Legal or not!!! The cost is huge.

Embracing a new heritage is what made America. Hanging on to the old one is tearing her down.

In May 1844, James Knox Polk of Tennessee became the first "dark horse" candidate in American political history to receive the presidential nomination as the Democrats ended their Baltimore national convention. Polk surprised his opponents by winning the presidential election the following December.
Hi Doo, a little this and that! I got a box in the mail today. It's nice!!
How's the water system working now?? Well I hope.
My #3 daughter came down this afternoon and we went grocery shopping! My cubboards where bare, not to mention the refrigerator. I was getting the (hungers) as the Irish say. All set now for a real feast!! Think I'll have a sandwhich. LOL

My maternal grandparents came to Amercia from Finland in the late 1800s. They had to speak English, albeit, FinnEnglish, but they made out just fine.

MYSTERY QUOTE
"The love of money is the root of all evil."
HINT: His name used to be Saul.

Don't get me wrong. Be proud of your past but live in the present with your eye on the future.
Going home. Bye

Thanks.
Roses hold a special spot in my heart.
A rose without thorns isn't worth the toil and effort, because it's a haughty daisy then.

Snippy, Dark,

you see
$2.99 for four lovely red ones
I ask you should I have
bought more???
To: bentfeather
Four for only 2.99?
Eight for 6 or so?
That's a nice price for them.

Touch the Roses.
I love this guy!
Hope you all don't get tired of my playing his music.
To: Darksheare
Oh nuts, I had 6 roses in that bundle! Sorry!!
And yes, the price is every week #2.99, fantastic huh??
The store is ALDI. It's one of the best places to buy groceries at a very reasonable price. No checks, cash or ATM card, one bags their own groceries, you can bring bags or buy them. Also, the shopping cart is .25 cents, but you get your quarter back at the end of the trip. Nothing fancy here but low prices.
To: bentfeather
Yes, that is a fantastic price!
That rose in the image is about the color of the one I have.
No stores like that near me.
Wal-Mart has a supercenter near me, have to settle for 6 roses for 8 or 10 dollars.
(I can GROW my own for less! They just aren't long stemmed.)

A MAGICAL MONUMENT
During the seventeenth century in India, King Muhammed Adil Shah had an enormous monument, the Gol Gumbaz, built in Bijapur, Karnataka. Crowning the monument was a gigantic, 178-foot-thick dome, completely unsupported by pillars.
Today, tourists can climb the spiral stone staircase and stand near one of four black stones in the structure, then whisper into one of the stones to a companion standing near another black stone on the opposite side of the dome. They will able to hear what was said. This phenomenon is attributed to the unusual acoustic properties of the monument.
To: bentfeather
I have a strange way of remembering what was done, said, and what was the outcome rather than who said it or the year. We must learn why something is relevent not who and when. Otherwise we didn't learn we memorized. But I'm glad I got it right.
