In May 1844, James Knox Polk of Tennessee became the first "dark horse" candidate in American political history to receive the presidential nomination as the Democrats ended their Baltimore national convention. Polk surprised his opponents by winning the presidential election the following December.

How's the water system working now?? Well I hope.

My #3 daughter came down this afternoon and we went grocery shopping! My cubboards where bare, not to mention the refrigerator. I was getting the (hungers) as the Irish say. All set now for a real feast!! Think I'll have a sandwhich. LOL

Better than ever, fortunately. Hopefully we won't have any more cave-ins that rattle rocks loose into the resevoir. The rocks that got into the pump really chewed up the innards.

All set now for a real feast!! Think I'll have a sandwhich. LOL

Sounds like our supper. My back's too sore to stand by the stove to cook. Too much scrubbing to get the mold off the outside of the house so we can paint it. OUCH!! Now we know why so many farmers have lots of kids.....to let them do all this "fun" stuff. LOL!
