We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Remember the Trade Center!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Out of France comes yet another anti-American outrage. Remember our deck of cards outlining the most-wanted in Iraq? Well, a Frenchman has come up with a card deck that outlines "the 52 most dangerous American officials." Sec'y Rumsfeld is the ace of spades, President Bush the King of Diamonds. The translation for President Bush's card: "Head of a baseball club and director of Salem bin Laden's oil company (brother of Osama). Designated President of the United States by friends of his father at the Supreme Court before the vote count showed that he lost the elections." [sic]. The plan is to translate the cards from the French into 10 languages and distribute internationally. They are already available on the Internet.
Congress has overwhelmingly (412-8 in the House and 95-0 in the Senate) approved legislation specifically authorizing the FTC to create a "do not call" list. Meanwhile, a second Federal judge, this one in Denver, has ruled the "do not call" list out of bounds for the FTC, this time on First Amendment grounds. The FTC has already appealed the case to the Tenth Circuit.
The Feds want the indictment against Moussaoui - the alleged 20th hijacker - dismissed by the judge hearing the case. That's stated correctly. They also want a stay from the judge, allowing the whole matter to be appealed to the Fourth Circuit. There, the Government hopes for a reversal of the trial judge's ruling that Moussaoui has the right to question three captives in Guantanamo Bay.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Hmmm....if Trill's favourite wine is Beringer Zinfandel, then one has to ask oneself: "Self, why don't I get Beringer Zonfandel???"
But I think a Zin is too fruity for what you are making. Therefore I suggest either a very good cabernet sauvignon or a fairly good bordeaux....
So, if you have the bucks, go for Stag's Leap or their cheaper label, Hawk's Crest, cab.
If you want a cheaper, good Zin, try Rabbit Ridge Zin -- it's pretty good...

Shiraz is a 'crunchy' wine, lots of 'residue'...;-)

My favorite wine is any that is at least vintage Tuesday.

If you'd rather have something much "milder" may i suggest L'Eau du Cheval from Chateau Seattle Slew?
To: Not gonna take it anymore
Hehehehehe...like I always say: You ALWAYS meet your goals if you set the bar low enough! ;-)

The Penfold's was on sale for on $21. We passed and got the Yellow Tail, also from Australia. If Trill doesn't like it, I can cook with it. She hasn't tried it, but I have, and I like it well enough. One of the goals of this exersize is to get Trill to try some different wines and see what she DOES like.

Penfolds are priced right across the spectrum, so even their less expensive wines, around $9, are superb values. This outfit makes a huge amount of wine.Look for the Koonunga Hill label next time :) Rawson's Retreat is another one.

You have mail.
I understand. No need to apologize at all, sweetie.
As I stated in the FReepmail, Sarah is not a
greeter....she's a Photo Specialist....la dee da!!! :-)
You know....Walmart pays quite well. She comes home with a nice paycheck even though she works part time.
But with work and the new colt coming, I'm hoping she doesn't get behind in her school work. Calculus seems to be taking a lot of her time.
This is her last year at this college before she transfers to another. She is thinking about taking a year off to save for the rest of her education. Vet school is $$$$$$

L'Eau du Cheval from Chateau Seattle Slew?
We have plenty of that. Want me to bottle it for you.? LOL
Which reminds me. The new colt's Dad had a selling price of $18,000. Sarah bought the colt for less than 3% of that figure and that includes vet fees.
The picture below is Sarah's colt's Dad...A Pintabian...his name is SH Conquestidor
She named hers Condor Bentley Star. We think he is mostly black with white socks and a star. Sheesh!! I think almost as excited as Sarah

Twinkle, twinkle,
Little thread;
You're reached that state
Which we all dread.
I wish I may,
I wish I might;
Resuscitate you,
But I think it's Good Night!

Dinner is now becoming a memory of tough meat, (mea culpa, I shoulda used the bottom oven instead of trying to be cheap and using the oven I had just baked bread in..) a great sauce, and nobody will remember or think of the rissotto or asparagus (they were fair to good).

A cross between a Pinto and an Arabian? I'll bet everyone is excited about the new addition to the family. We've got a roping saddle in the garage sale tomorrow. ;>)
