AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 979) [Davis Death Watch - 11 Days to Go!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | September 26, 2003 | All of Us

Posted on 09/26/2003 4:31:40 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Remember the Trade Center!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Out of France comes yet another anti-American outrage. Remember our deck of cards outlining the most-wanted in Iraq? Well, a Frenchman has come up with a card deck that outlines "the 52 most dangerous American officials." Sec'y Rumsfeld is the ace of spades, President Bush the King of Diamonds. The translation for President Bush's card: "Head of a baseball club and director of Salem bin Laden's oil company (brother of Osama). Designated President of the United States by friends of his father at the Supreme Court before the vote count showed that he lost the elections." [sic]. The plan is to translate the cards from the French into 10 languages and distribute internationally. They are already available on the Internet.

Congress has overwhelmingly (412-8 in the House and 95-0 in the Senate) approved legislation specifically authorizing the FTC to create a "do not call" list. Meanwhile, a second Federal judge, this one in Denver, has ruled the "do not call" list out of bounds for the FTC, this time on First Amendment grounds. The FTC has already appealed the case to the Tenth Circuit.

The Feds want the indictment against Moussaoui - the alleged 20th hijacker - dismissed by the judge hearing the case. That's stated correctly. They also want a stay from the judge, allowing the whole matter to be appealed to the Fourth Circuit. There, the Government hopes for a reversal of the trial judge's ruling that Moussaoui has the right to question three captives in Guantanamo Bay.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Good morning, Chair! Paul Valley has been talking about the progress in Iraq and how it isn't being covered. E.D. kept saying things like, "If the Iraqis like us, why aren't they HELPING us find the bad guys?" And Valley said "They ARE helping us!" Then ED said, "I guess there isn't any coverage of that, either." Ha!

lysie, message for you at the end of yesterday's thread.

Yes, I'm home. Our electricity came back last Sunday evening--after it had been out for 69 hours.

I'm trying to upload a couple of pics of the youngest. It's taking awhile as the computer wants to save them as .bmp's and I want them to be .jpg's. It will be a fight to the finish, but I will win.

The earthquake was 8.0. I understand there is a danger of tsunami with this one.

As you suggested, Dolly, we should call ourselves the Ohio Valley Cultural History Group, but REALLY we are subversives, doing political undercover work! LOL.

Anyway, busy day here, catching up...

GOOD A.M. TO ALL FROM THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA!!!!

Its so muggy down here today, its terrible. Course we could be having snow (just a little wishful dreaming you know).

Think I will fix the kids breakfast this morning, already fixed the coffee and it will be eggs and bacon with toast. Grits served only by request.

Gd is enjoying her home schooling and she is learning so much more than last year. AND, my little 'sweet pea' is growing up more each day.

Prayers for all with those special needs for our troops and for OUR President W, he sure needs out help and , for the elderly, we are not a endangered species yet. Have a good day. Toby

LB, Welcome home! You've been doing quite a bit of traveling lately. Now you're going to be spending some time with your newest grandbabies?

It was a holiday only for my family and one other family. Otherwise it was school as usual.

We simply played hookey.

This is the youngest with one of her admirers.

Everyone needs someone to cuddle.

The youngest likes all sorts of animals.

We were walking around at this koala sanctuary and while we don't have either koalas or wombats here most of the other animals, lorikeets, tree kangaroos, lizards, snakes, dingoes (my Tippy was a dingo) ARE here. At one point I mentioned this to JT and said, "Ya' know, we paid money to see our PETS!" LOL!

One another outing our tour bus driver took us to a couple of spots where we saw free-ranging kangaroos and I spotted a kookaburra on an electrical wire.
