Thanks.
Boychild just got home, and I told him the news. He took off immediately to (hopefully) kidnap another friend from work so they could go visit Jeff right away..........

Evening everyone.
Got back online, checked my e-mail and found this note from the Chair:
Am ok. Took damage, but minor. One tree down, three shingles pulled, five others loose, one screen ripped off and damaged. No power since 10 last night, might be awhile.
Everyone in as good spirits as can be when you are watching tv by candlelight.
A lot of damage in the area. Clear winds were over 70. We were lucky.
Thanks for everyone's prayers.

I know you're proud of him, mom! He made the right decision without any hesitation. A sign of good upbringing ... :-)

Sorry to read that news, ML, and of course prayers offered for the young man and his family and friends like your son. I remember when you wrote of this before.
Way to go john! You've got some hard work, but exciting and much-desired work, ahead of you!

I hate breaking bad news to kids. When Trill's dad passed away, she couldn't tell bratling, and asked me to. Trill's dad and bratling were very close. That had to be one of the hardest things I've ever done. You have my sympathy and prayers.
