Sure, I've been having a little bit of fun. Wasn't really a vacation though. My ex-husband died, so I had to come out here for the funeral and to be with Dawn and Tyler. The funeral was on Friday. I spent some time with his family, been doing some shopping, went to the fair and have been eating out entirely too much. Today, a friend and I went hiking in the mountains. I will probably head home sometime tomorrow.

Did y'all see this? The liberals/socialists just keep getting uglier all the time, just when you think it would be impossible.

Uninvited guests might show up at the freerepublic rally

No that's not what I'd call fun .. how is Dawn and Tyler doing?.. how are you doing?

Thanks Mo. It was hard. Rudy was not a bad person. He had a good heart, but just could never deal appropriately with his pain. It didn't have to be this way. He wasn't but 49. Dawn took it very hard, but she is doing better. Tyler had not spent a lot of time with him the past 3 years so he really didn't understand. His mom was the hardest to be around. It was awful for her, but getting to see Tyler and spend some time with him was good medicine for her. I'm glad I came. It was one of those rare times that I felt I was able to make a difference.

He had been having severe problems with blood clots for several. The doctors told him that he HAD to stop drinking and smoking or the condition would kill him, sooner rather than later. Every time he left the hospital it was right back to the bottle. Alcoholism is truly one of the most evil and destructive of human conditions, not only because it destroys the person, but damages every relationship in their lives and hurts the people who love them.

Well, I'm off to bed. It's been a very long day! Went shopping this morning. Met Dawn's new boyfriend and had lunch with them (Mexican food and Margaritas). Had to rescue a friend who ran out of gas. Then we went hiking in the mountains.....got caught in the rain. Dawn and I went to the Olive Garden for supper with some friends of ours.

I have taken loads of pictures since I've been here. Will post some when I get home. Night Mo. Get some sleep will ya?

Hi Westy,

Our phone bill (cuenta) is based on so many minutes of free time for local calls, and internet, then reverts to a usage scale...so if the pooter gets left logged on, we pay. A little different than the normal base price for the month with unlimited access time. Oh well it's only pesos.
