North Korea, in the six-way talks to discuss the dismantling of its nuclear weapons program, announced it has a nuclear weapon and will test it. [Ed. Note: The United States should announce in return that it has a nuclear weapon and intends to "test" it.]

In the left's continuing attempt to disarm Israel, the International Atomic Energy Agency announced it will look into "Israeli Nuclear Capabilities and Threats".

Anti-semitism has been around in France far longer than it ever was in Germany, but it usually lurks just under the surface. Occasionally it erupts into full blown Jew bashing such as the Dreyfuss affair, aiding and abetting the Nazis in carting them off to the death camps, and now in openly siding with Muslim terrorists against Israel.

If they try to pull this stunt, I'd slap 'em with a full-blown embargo and sever diplomatic relations.

As Rush was saying yesterday, the French fear and respect us and are very jealous of us. They have very few ways they can get at us in any meaningful way so they resort to practical jokes in an attempt to humiliate. Sophomoric, but in their jealous hatred of us, they'll probably wet themselves with laughter.

Once again, I direct you to Chirac's absolute panic about going into Iraq. Not content with disagreeing (like Russia) they actively worked against us. Remember their poofy Foreign Minister went to countries like Chile promising them favors if they voted against us in the Security Council? Remember that he was in Turkey threatening the Turks with non-membership in the EU if they let our troops deploy from there? How about when Chirac started ranting about Eastern Europe's letter in the WSJ, telling them to shut up?

I still say that there is more to this than a fear of being revealed as getting money under the table from Iraq. First of all, everyone already assumes this. Secondly, the way France is, I don't think it would particularly hurt Chirac's career. So why the panic?

I think there is something worse. I think there is something that would show the French to be beyond the pale. And the only thing I can think of is foreknowledge or complicity in 9/11.

I agree, however, Chirac must be a very stupid man. To hide a stink he really shouldn't be creating a stink. Perhaps he thinks our government officials can't walk and chew gum at the same time. Big mistake!

We are suppose the start getting rain this afternoon with rain all day Sat and Sun. We could use it, bad.

I am in a fight with the city of Long Beach, pot hole in front of my house and they will not fix it. I am gong to make a poster with 'Mayor Bass Memorial Pot Hole' on it and see if that helps, politicians hate it when the whole world sees something bad about them. Besides, he is running for State Senator and one of his aldermen buddies lives down the street. Its not like our city is so busy that they can't get to it, I guess it would cut into their coffee break WHICH brings up that I have not had my coffee yet so, be back in a minute. Toby

I agree with your assessment that they're desperately trying to hide something. Like I said, if they do pull this stunt, place them on the State Department list of nations that support terrorism. Put sanctions on them, kick their diplomats out. Sever all trade and treat them just like we'd treat Libya, N. Korea, or Iran.
