uniforms are a godsend. xsbrownie won't have to wear one this year, which was a selling point to make her move to the new school easier. the ability to wear her own clothes, nailpolish and gym every day. she starts on Tuesday, so hopefully it will go well. it has helped tremendously that her older sister is going to a new school this year also. otherwise, it would have been a problem, i have no doubt.

". . .now school's starting and they are all tied up."Tying the kids up yet again? LOL!
The 'bot had his gf over for dinner last night. They were watching TV, and he had his arm around her. Cyber asked him if his homework was done. He said, "No." His gf said, "Well, then take your arm off of me, and get it done." I really like this gf.

I agree with everything you said, except that I love some of those old musicals just the way they were made.
I could not imagine anyone but Rex Harrison or Audrey Hepburn in "My Fair Lady"
Although the remake of "Mame" with Lucille Ball was great - but then she was one of the old timers!!!!!!!

I do wish some studio would re-make something like "Gone With the Wind", or some of those neat musicals that I've never seen except on TV because they were before my time. The problem is that classic lines like "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn" just don't come of as well when they are rewritten as "F*** you, b****! I don't give a s*** what you do with your a**!"
To: Gabz
IT illustrates the insanity well no matter where or how many times it pops up.

You're right about uniforms - I wore them for 12 years!!!!
Never had to decide what to put on in the morning, except in june and September when I was in HS. Mine was one of the few schools that didn't have "summer" uniforms, we were allowed to wear our own clothes after Memorial Day and until the 1st of October. Too hot in NYC for those wool skirts!!!

Maybe the woman will decide she doesn't fit in the neighborhood and move. We were fortunate to have our ass**le next door neighbors sell their house and move as soon as we finished building our house, because they hated our house. Actually, I think it was because everyone one on the road disliked them intensely-we all had a barbecue at one of the neighbor's homes to celebrate the weekend they moved out. The couple who bought their house is into some weird stuff for entertainment, but they are otherwise very nice.

This is just my tacit way of reminding you all that the time to start your Christmas shopping is coming up very soon now. You're welcome. Is it time to start the countdown yet? There are only 119 days left until Christmas.
