SOMEBODY kept me from being first today by distracting me with mail...;-) That is such an old trick. I can't believe you fell for it. (We're not going to fall for a banana in the tailpipe.)

My hubby will do his share, but he is laundry challenged. I don't let him anywhere near the washer, because he doesn't understand the concept of whites and colors needing to be washed seperately. Instead of setting the water level selector for a small load, he will toss all the laundry into the washer together to make a large load.

My Side O'Beef occasionally has a Kahlua and milk. Then if I'm lucky, I can trim his nails.

Maybe he's just really clingy and needy. That would make more sense.

well xsbrownie gets up early, and the other 2 stay up later than i do, half the time. so with kids, that window of opportunity, narrows quite a bit. esp with teens and preteens in the house.

As much as I hate to admit this, Joe Biden actually did something worthwhile for our troops. He probably got the idea from someone else.

i have several pairs in black, bc i tend to wear a lot of black. i saw a very cute pair of black and white sandals that i really liked, but it was towards the end of the season and they didn't have my size. i still regret not having those.

XS, I'm with you.
Hubby does a lot around here, but I would not want him waiting on me hand and foot!!!
The only time I complain about him not doing something is when he doesn't clean up after he and Jax have made breakfast on saturday mornings. I do not eat it - i should not have to clean it up!!!!!!!

unless you have some color item that is new, or are using bleach, you can mix whites and colors. AND it's cheaper to run one big load than two smaller ones!

i know she must consider herself really lucky, but the concept, rather than sounding appealing, sounds kind of gross to me. i could never stand guys like that.

Me, too.
There was a book out about 25 years ago (I'm aging myself) that told you how to get your husband to do everything for you. The person who gave me the book got divorced after being married for a year. I guess that book didn't work. I thought the book was silly.
Do you remember the old Sandra Dee/Bobby Darrin movie? This was before my time. She wanted money for her winter coat. Bobby wouldn't give it to her. So Sandra used some of the winter coat money to buy herself flowers from an anonymous person. She got the coat. But then a friend of hers asked her how she had trained her husband. Sandra brought out a dog training book. Of course, the plot thickened when the "friend" told Bobby.
Me, if I want something, I just come out and say it.

Yes, I seem to remember that. As a teen, my daughter liked to watch scary movies in the dark living room on Friday nights. If the movie got a bit too scary, she'd run down the hall, and insist that one of us get up and watch it with her, rather than turn the damn thing off.

xshub will go off halfcocked and do laundry and it drives me nuts. i love the help folding and putting away, but i prefer to sort and put it in the washer and move to the dryer. he will put bras, bathing suits and other things that have no business being in the dryer, and that drives me nuts!

it is my goal to be a centerfold. You are in luck. I brought my camera with me today. We can schedule a shoot for this afternoon. (Of course, about 2 hrs into it I'll realize I forgot the film and we'll have to start over)
To: Slip18
oh i used to just HOPE that xshub would think of the right thing to do or buy, but that is for the birds, i just come out and say it, too. he is happier and so am i.

I have been so bad since moving to AZ about buying shoes. When I was working outside the house, I would buy truckloads. Now, I'm just a sandal person. And I leave a pair by the front door and outside the back door. Otherwise, I'm just barefoot all the time. I even use the treadmill barefoot. But my toenails must be manicured at all times. Go figure.
