I think also that it is better to avoid all that messy stuff if possible. I had a boss about five years ago who started telling me he had erotic dreams about me, insisted on telling me about the dreams, then asking for them to be real, or I might just find myself without work. I resigned, and even went so far as to talk to my attorney. She was willing to file for me, and told me to prepare for a nasty battle. She said we would probably win, but to prepare for a lot of mud slinging. I decided it wouldn't look good to a new employer for me to be involved in litigation against a former employer, so I didn't file.

I agree with you, I was not interested in the mud slinging and it would have gotten ugly, although all the attorneys I spoke with said I would win in the end.
I already had a new job lined up that was going to be paying me more. My new boss, owner of the radio station I went to, actualy encouraged me to go after them, or at least make them think I was giong. He knew most of the people involved, having worked for the company that had previously owned the other station, and had been screwed in the takeover.
In the end we had the last laugh - the news department I had left had consistently won all kinds of news and broadcasting awards - particularly for political coverage. It was years before they ever received another award. In just a couple of years I had made many contacts in state and local government levels and they were all ticked off about what happened to me, and what had been the number 1 radio news department in the state capitol lost all of their sources in government and had to start all over!!!!!!
Payback can be a b!tch - and I'm glad I was the b!tch that inflicted it on them!!!!

The boss from hell also got his-his wife divorced him for having affairs, he went into a downward spiral so severe that four more employees left a month after I did and by the end of the year he was in the toilet and went out of business. When we left, we took our customers/clients with us to our new jobs, which was something the jagoff never considered. I was nearly dancing in the street when another of his former employees told me he had gone down in flames. What goes around comes around, and I'm happy for my part in his business demise. He was a jerk.

Hubby was watching a clip of her on Fox this morning while we were getting ready for work. He remarked that she had some rather large issues in the race, with a perfectly straight face, just to see if I "got it" (I did).

That is humid! It isn't too bad here-low 90's not too humid. It might rain tomorrow/Saturday, I really hope so. September starts what I call the fall monsoon season around here, but we have had a cool, wet summer for this area. Global warming? Yeah, right. I've got to meet a customer for lunch, back soon....
