My SIL claims she will marry the first man she meets that knows what the back of a toilet looks like.

she's 3 years older than me and still single.

I don't mess with the wood/charcoal grill either.

Thanks for the reminder of the chicken leg quarters. they're on sale this week, I think I'll pick up another bag of them. 10 pound bag for $3.90. They grow big chickens around here - there were only 11 legs in the bag.

I'm not long on patience myself, so I've devised a little routine to keep me from hurrying things up. I light the grill before I start cooking the rest of the supper, usually as soon as I get home. Then I go take a shower, and start the potatoes, rice or whatever after I get done. Then I season the meat, and by then, the fire is usually ready, so I put the meat on. I get the veggies ready to steam, fix salad, if any, prepare grilling sauce. Then I time everything else to be done with the meat. But if I'm grilling steaks, I just throw them on the grill for a few minutes each side. Much easier, but I can't get hubby to see the wisdom of eating the same thing every day....

i doubt i would be afraid of a real fire. i just don't like that combustible aspect of the gas grill.

A man is showering up in a locker room with his buddy when he notices his friend has a huge penis.

"Damn Bob, you're hung!" Jim exclaims.

"I wasn't always this impressive, I had to work for it." "What do you mean?" Jim asked.

"Well, everyday for the past two years I've spent an hour each night rubbing it with butter. I know it sounds crazy but it actually made it grow 4 inches! You should try it."

Jim agrees and the two say good bye.

A few weeks later the two are in the same locker room and Bob asks Jim how his situation was.

Jim replied, " I did what you said but my penis has actually gotten smaller! I lost two inches already!"

"Did you do everything I told you? An hour each day with butter?"

"Well, butter is expensive, so I've been using Crisco."

Crisco?!?" Bob exclaimed, "No wonder, YOU FOOL, Crisco's a shortening!"

We have a Weber gas grill and love it. The secret to gas is to use indirect heat and carfully chose your marinate. Cook as low on heat as you can as long as you can with grill closed. Charcoal, mesquite, or hickory is better but not worth the hassle compared to turn knob press button.

He hasn't been grilling lately. I think I've spoiled him. For dinner, I'm putting a huge salmon filet in the oven. The 'bot and I usually have salmon cakes from leftovers the next night. Two dinners in one!

I usually can get them for about $2.75 for 10 lbs. at the commissary, but they were out of them last Friday when I went. The market has them for $3.50 to $3.90, so I guess I'll get some there. We eat a lot of those-I like them better than chicken breasts.
