Happy "Second" Birthday (to Me) and an Announcement

Today is an exciting one for me, so I just thought I'd toot my own horn for a minute and let everyone know today is my second birthday. Two years ago this morning I woke up with limbs a'twitchin' and within five hours was informed I had a brain tumor. *shudder* The event pretty much set my life clock back to zero, which is why I refer to the day as my second birthday. At the time, I never thought I'd live two years but here I am still living, breathing and enjoying life. Isn't it great to be alive? (That's rhetorical, as I simply assume the answer is yes. :)
To those of you who didn't know this about me, feel free to browse the original prayer thread (Prayers Requested for MrConfettiMan and His Family) and/or visit the source URL noted above where I've been keeping an online log of my journey since it began. I'd like to thank FReepers for all their prayers and good thoughts during the past two years on behalf of my family and me. You have no idea how much they've meant to me.
I don't care to spend too much time boring you with a medical update but suffice it to say by the grace of God my MRIs continue to be stable. My next MRI is in October and if that one remains like all the rest the brain tumor experts at Duke will recommend I extend my MRI schedule from every four months to every six months (the majority of BT survivors never go beyond six months between MRIs and I don't intend to either). Unfortunately, my seizures (slight finger twitches and numbness in my foot) continue to occur every week and a half to two weeks so I don't allow myself to get behind the wheel of a vehicle (it's been well over a year since I've driven - *sigh*).
The Announcement
I'm very happy and excited to announce that I'm going to be a first-time daddy come November! MrsConfettiMan is five months pregnant. Her due date is November 12th (one day before her birthday). Another freeper is on the way!

Wow! Really good news from the Confettiman family.
I don't get to spend much time here these days, but I'm glad I was around for your post.
Keep on doing whatever it is you're doing.

Outstanding! Happy "birthday" and congrats on the little ConfettiKid. Would that be like...paper dust, or pulp...since confetti is already so small? hmmm Either way that's good news for you. (And us!)
BTW, my Ma-in-law had her first brain tumor sometime in her late 20's, and she's teaching me to can pickles this Friday. She's 79...

To: All
Because He Lives
God sent His son, they called Him Jesus
He came to love, heal, and forgive.
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.
How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride and joy he gives.
But greater still the calm assurance,
This child can face uncertain days because He lives.
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.
And then one day I'll cross the river,
I'll fight life's final war with pain.
And then as death gives way to victory,
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives.
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone!
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He lives!

God brought you back for a reason--congrats to both of you.
Have this nonsense too, or had, and my hands cramp instead of twitch, and my right ankle and foot are as numb as a rock. In reading this I can feel where that demon was, and it's feeling like an air pocket inside my head now. That blankety-blank hurt beyond description.
If you passed over you got to choose whether or not to return, and it sounds, if that happened, like you had a good reason to rejoin us. Again congrats!

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my gosh!!!!!!!!!!! I'm crying all over the dang place.. Oh .. I'm so happy!!!!!!!! This is so wonderful!! First you survived something that was so scary, and then you just kept getting great news..and then the news just kept getting better. I just wish I was there to give you and the Little Mommy a big ole' HUG!!!!!
I just returned my 6 mos old grandson to his Mommy and Daddy last night after having him and his older brother and sister since Saturday while they moved (ages 8 and 6).
Baby cut his second bottom front tooth while he was here. I must tell you that you are in for some of the MOST joyous moments of your life. There simply is no describing it. I'm so happy for you two.
Many many blessings on you and your NEW *FAMILY*...
Gee, I really like the sound of that :o)

It's so good to hear from you, I hope my pin is still in your map. Congratulations on your upcoming fatherhood, I'm so happy for you pops. That is for sure going to be one lucky baby.
Do you know if it is a boy or girl, or do you want to be suprised? In any case you are about to embark on a wonderful adventure with a little person who will think you are the smartest, funniest, stongest, person in the universe. It's an experience beyond wonderous.
You are in my prayers for thanks giving. Please ping us with the birth announcement and all the details. We enjoy being able to join in your celebrations, you bring the confetti and we will bring the party food and baloons.

Congratulatons on your new life and the new life you'll be bringing into the world. I do know that as a cancer survivor, I was looking at the world through "new" eyes. It was like being physically "born-again" -- everything was wonderful....birds....trees.....babies.....and it puts things into perspective - - you realize that you don't sweat the "small stuff" and most of life is made up of "small stuff".
And...you learn to unconditionally trust the Lord.....
Ain't God good???
