In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
pandemian \pan*dem*ee*an\, adjective

pandemiousness; noun
1. Vulgar
2. Sensual
The characteristics of Aphrodite have bewildered philosophers who, like Plato, made a distinction between the two aspects of the goddess, one Uranian "celestial," as the goddess of pure love, and Pandemian, or "popular," as the goddess presiding over ordinary love affairs.

That is so funny - my grandmother, great aunt gave that advice to Momma and Aunt Dorothy and Aunt Margaret - which of course was handed down to us as each of us had families.

Suerkraut - ummmm, love it, but then my dads family was German so we learned to like it. About the only food that I won't touch is Liver, fish/shellfish (allergies) and beets.

Try frying them in butter. They have to be dark brown to black though on all sides. Not bad especially when served with Macaroni and Cheese pie.

Hollywood hasn't had an original idea in decades. Every movie they put out is either a remake of a tv show or a remake of a remake of an original. And they are never as good as the originals.
I saw a sci-fi channel movie that was a remake of "To Serve Man" and it was horrible. Did you know they are getting ready to release a remake of BattleStar Galactica?? Oh the horrors.

The election of that homosexual bishop is going to cause a rift in the church the likes of which they have never seen.
The conservatives are going to leave and take their money with them. All that will be left will be the fringe elements, and that's no church, that's a circus!

Sean Penn needs to keep silent. You can't expect the world to take a man who married Madonna seriously. /catty

The French pirate movie is very good. I took the kiddos to see it yesterday and even though I had to cover the little one's eyes for almost half of it(violence), it was a great flick. Zero profanity and no sex. A perfect adventure movie.

I hate the self-richeousness of the compassionfacists and other moral relativists, who are non-judgemental to everybody except the judgementalA favorite author of mine is always saything that these people are going to be highly surprised in the afterlife for Heaven's going to be a sparsely populated place.

I'm still a little leery of the lawyer, but if he's quit the NAACP then perhaps he's starting to see the light.

It could be a precurser, I found several references for it, examples if you will, but it wasn't in any of the online dictionaries.
I hate to tell you this, they've already infected the comicbook heros.
