The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…
Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
The Road Goes Ever On
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Those pictures were great. You had really pink cheeks, and methinks that was from the adult beverages. ;o)
Frodo's in his shipping carton, and Bear tells me it should be ok to check him on the airplane. I hope the gorillas will be gentle with him! We hope to go to Yellowstone on Monday, then I'll ship him out to Wneighbor on Tuesday.
We're gonna have dial-up internet at the house we're renting, so I hope to check in from time to time! See y'all later.

Couldn't sleep, so I got up and played some Civilization. Time to try again methinks.

Got the knife...cool! I can even close it and open it one-handed without cutting myself. :)
To: Overtaxed
Glad you made it home safely from your travels to the outskirts of the Great American Desert! How's your kitty? LSA
To: osagebowman
*Sniff* I haven't seen my kitty yet. I'm at my house....I'm supposed to paint my mauve dining room today. I'll see her tomorrow. Guess I could always pet Chester, the Neighbor Cat.
To: osagebowman
BTW, thanks for the Hobbit Bag Lunch. Sure was better than a sandwich! I took the cookies to the airport with me which came in handy. We left KC late....we had to wait for the flight crew to get in from FL.
To: Overtaxed
Dang, that's right-you told us that. A substitute cat is always a good thing to have, so Chester will do! LSA
To: osagebowman
The only thing is that Chester will put up with only so much petting. I think he's here just for the free leftover Iams.

Got the knife...cool! I can even close it and open it one-handed without cutting myself. :)If you intend on carrying it, practice opening and closing it whenever you have a free moment alone. (Don't want to freak people out.)
The idea is to build "muscle memory", and neural pathways so that it becomes instinctual. This is taken directly from oriental martial arts, and works for lots of things, including shooting. Do it slowly, and study your movements as you do it. The idea is for perfection every time, and not speed.
Afterwards, visualize the same motions, as a method of reinforcing your exercises.

Don't want to freak people out.I don't? :)
I hadn't thought about carrying it everywhere I go, but it is fun to practice!
