In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

I'm glad you found the grade book. I left it in the left bottom drawer, the one that locks. I left a key in the top drawer. I was hoping the students wouldn't find it.

Dittomom, Happy Independence Day to you!
It's a little warm to be barbecuing today, though, huh?
It's good to hear from you.
Looks as if the monsoon will be setting in soon. Only two more days of over 110 degrees. My side garden gets put in next week. I'll get to have my roses again. I might need some advice on the AZ hardy ones. I love the teas.
Actually got some Bleeding Hearts to grow here. You won't believe the difference a woman made in this home . . .

My apercu (WFTD, Miss Rika) would be Tweetie should be chasing Sylvester and Sylvester should be chasing the dog. What do you think?

Thanks for subbing, Miss Rika!
Please let the a/c upstairs be healed by nightfall! Otherwise we'll be camping out downstairs. Why does this always happen on holiday weekends???
