The large volume of egg in my recipe adds color and flavor, which makes up for the dijon mustard in your reciple. The flavor of my potato salad is less tangy, and more potato and onion, than yours. The celery seed adds a fresh flavor which is not alays available n other recipes.

This is one of my favs, (and it's not mine, I got it from my dear friend's mother....many years ago!)
Downside is you have to start it the night before, but it is good!
7 medium potatoes cooked but firm in the jacket, peel and cube
½ cup (or more) Italian dressing
¾ cup cubed celery
¾ sliced green onions with tops
1/3 cup diced cucumber (pared and seeded)
Dressing
4 hard cooked eggs (yellows for dressing)
1 cup mayo
½ cup sour cream
1 ½ tsp prepared horseradish mustard
salt and celery seed to taste
Potatoes are warm, pour Italian dressing over and chill overnight. Add celery and onion and chopped egg white. Sieve yolks with mayo, sour cream and HRM. Fold into salad. Add salt and celery seed to taste. Chill 2 hours. Just before you serve it, add cucumber. (Fork tine the cucumber and slice.

It looks like I'm going to have to make a fresh batch for tomorrow that combines the best of both recipes. If folks swoon, I'll post the recipe.
Thanks for the information. I'm always looking for a way to make things better. And one thing I've found out since I've started school... I've got a lot to learn from everybody.

Almost exactly one year ago at this time we were just arriving from Singapore. A lot has happened since then.

A lot has happened since then.It certainly has. I didn't like most of it, but I wouldn't have missed a moment of it.

I ran four red lights today in Jefferson's honor. He was a little "l" libertarian. Not an anarchist. Please don't run stop signs. ;>)

You are wise! Actually, we wouldn't tune in to the jerks on KGO 810 AM but, Larry has difficulty sleeping at night and so to break the monotony, we listen to the radio. Unfortunately, we live in a very poor reception area, and even with our CC Radio, we can pick up precious few stations. That is why we listen (only rarely) to the liberals at KGO. Taliferro calls our President by many names, including "shrub" "the idiot" "dickhead" "the selected president", etc. ....VERY sick people with a microphone at their disposal. Don't want to give up the freedom of speech we have in America, but would consider passing a law that allowed us to put a SOCK in the mouth of Ward and Taliferro four nights a week :-)

I saw where Willie Nelson endorsed Dennis Kucinich. That is a clear case of a Doper endorsing a Dope.
I think it is just a case of Willie endorsing someone he thought was a fellow drunken drugie.
I always thought Dennis Kucincich was a drunk until I saw him drunk once.

Just today, John, and I didn't draw any blood, which Jefferson thought would be a useful thing now and then...
Happy 4th to ya!

I like that coffee-pot water tower!
Thanks for the pictures!
To: Miss Marple
You are welcome.
We had to buy a new coffee pot about a month ago. I hate the way it makes coffee. I have tried everything....change the amount of coffee grounds per cup..opened a new can of coffee
Still lousy coffee. I guess I'll have to look for one like our old one. ...GE spacemaker...This new one is a MR. coffee. It does not give the same flavor.

Good Morning. The Coffee Pot Water Tower is in Iowa. I'm having a Sr. Momment and cannot remember the town. The symbolism has to do with a woman who did Folger's Coffee commercials for years. She was always refered to as Mrs. _ _ _ _. She had a slight accent. Wish I could remember the details. Sorry.
To: Iowa Granny
I remember that commercial. She was supposed to be Swedish, wasn't she?? Mrs. Svensen??
To: Iowa Granny
Good Morning, IG.
Was the lady's name, in the commerical,Mrs. Olseen. She had a swedish accent.

Yes, it was Mrs. Olsen. She was an Iowan, and her hometown honored her by building their water tower in the shape of a coffee pot.
Thank you so much, ICFN for jogging my memory. And I think it was Maxwell House Coffee.

GOOD MORNING, EVBERYONE. From sunny Chula Vista, Ca. (That between San Diego and the Mexician border.)
It's been awhile since I last reported in. Life correction GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME. . . ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD.
Last time I reported in, I was working at an apartment complex. About 2 hours work, my cell phone rings. One of the companies that interviewed, with was calling me. They wanted to hire me. I told them that, they were a day late and a dollar short, I all ready had a job. They told me that I would be paid what I requested for. I had to asked therm to refresh my memory, for it was about 2 months when I talked to them. They said 14.00 per hour.
My next words were "When should I come in and do the paperwork."
I'm a Punch List Man. I take care of small or large problems in a new house. Homeowners have 30 day period to fine defects/problems in the house. I'm the one who fixes them.
I have come to the understanding, that the economy is very healthy. I do not work on houses unless they are sold. This week I was working on a block of Million dollar PLUS house. It was a million dollar sub-division. 7 houses were already sold. The hous are on maybe a quater lot. NO pools or landscaping, that is all extra.
There was about 10 more being built. I also worked on a house that was purchased for 900,000. The prices just blows my mine.
I give all the Glory to GOD, for my new job. I just had to be ready. Plus let of of my pride, before anything could happen.
On top of that, I'm back in the church choir. It was great to go back.
I'll be here for most of the day. Money is very tight, for the next couple of weeks. However the Lord is helping that also.
EVERYONE, Please have a safe weekend.
