We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
President Bush is considering sending troops to Liberia.
While not throwing full weight behind a Constitutional Amendment to guarantee such a thing, the President did say he believed that marriage was indeed a union between a man and a woman.
Two separate incidents temporarily shut down subway service and the Brooklyn Bridge in Manhattan yesterday. The subway was closed in the southern part of the island after finding suspicious packages, while the bridge was shut down because a man reported to authorities he had been offered money to drive a car parked outside City Hall and park it on the Brooklyn Bridge. The car was found to be clean.
And research has shown that regular pot smokers are at greater risk of mental illness later in life.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I missed DK on Cavuto.... However, I did hear him a few months ago on a program. He came across the same way, John. He loves this country. It's been good to him. Wish others were as aware.

Okey Dokey,Jim.
Molly..thanks for the help with the trees offer.
Normally it wouldn't bother me that much, but with all the rain...all the downed trees that have managed to still have leaves and the inability to mow where we normally do..., I'm afraid it is a haven for 'squitos.
You are a dear friend. Do you really think we'd get much work done?? I have a feeling we'd be FReeping and talking...talking and FReeping. :-)
Kidding aside, you would be great to work with.

My Dad bought it over 35 years ago. I think it can be bought at ACE Hardware. It gets below the soil about 1-2 inches ..depending how loose your soil is. It may not be for everyone, but it sure works for me.
Hubby made a nice weeder a few years ago. It actually works better, but I can't quite get used to it. It needs to be positioned at a certain angle. I think I need to brush up on my geometry before using it. LOL
I'm really not at all surprised about Willie...a true liberal for years.

Not a parade, just a concert.
The band at the University of Alabama in Birmingham graciously invites those interested musicians to participate in their summer band program. LD has joined her cousins this summer and the concert is outside on the evening of the fourth. It will end at 9:00 when the audience can turn around and watch the Fire on the Mountain fireworks display. It is thrilling.

I am a proud amateur cook. But I DO read the recipes first :-)Grilled, fresh peaches are a treat, and easy to do, but they need supervision so the glaze doesn't burn too too much.
I have roasted and sauteed pears many, many times, so if you don't want to try the grill for your peaches, try the frying pan, but do add butter and sugar and even nutmeg or allspice to the caramel you'll end up making :)

Toby's song and video is definitely a keeper.
Locally they play Darryl Worley's Have You Forgotten quite often. Never fails...I tear up and when the song is finished I say...I'll NEVER forget!!!Ever!!
