Word For The Day
Tuesday, 07-02-03 | Slip 18

Posted on 07/02/2003 7:00:38 AM PDT by Slip18

In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

With that last comment, it's time for

LUNCHEON RECESS!

The bell has run.

Here are the rules for everyone. Helga (the nurse who divorced the janitor last week) is back. She is watching the door. She will NOT take anyone's temperature. Remember, she's a big German girl and won't take crud off of anyone. Behave!

There are paint ball guns in the back of the room if you would like to play dodge ball in an imaginative way.

Other than our sweet little Cook, CJ and Dan, it's been quiet with the boys here today. I think they might be on a different thread somewhere. Is there a chick flick thread out there today?

Here's a pretty funny Top Ten List from Letterman:

Top Signs You're In Love With Democratic Presidential Candidate Howard Dean:
10. You've actually heard of him;
9. Whenever he discusses plans to revitalize economy, you get goosebumps;
8. Named your cats "Howard," "Dean" and "Six-Term Governor Howard Dean";
7. You'll only watch movies featuring Ron Howard or Harry Dean Stanton;
6. When you hear a report on the radio about a highway accident, you murmur, "Please, god, don't let Howard Dean be involved";
5. Constantly complain rival candidate Dennis Kucinich isn't "Howardly" enough;
4. Changed outfit four times before watching appearance on "Meet the Press";
3. You stand by him despite the fact his infidelities embarrassed you in front of the entire... oh wait, wrong Democrat;
2. When he announced his candidacy, you didn't laugh your #$% off;

and the Number One sign You're In Love With Democratic Presidential Candidate Howard Dean:

1. You're actually considering wasting a vote on him.

Labs are natural at hunting stuff you just have to train sit, stay, down, here(don't use come), left/right heal. Start at 3 to 6 months they learn it fast. If lu 2L retrieves in the yard she'll pass you but not drop the float. In water she drops it as soon as she's out. Don't plan to hunt with her but she likes to train.

AAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I do SO know how they fit together!

The bird goes in the air.

The bees go in the flower.

The flower goes in the ground,

And the bear goes in the woods.

.... and the green grass grows all around (all around), and the green grass goes all around.

Lots of dirty tricks on that thread. Tennessee just passed a do-not-fax type of law which would get a bunch of those folks in trouble.
