AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 872) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | June 11, 2003 | All of Us

Posted on 06/11/2003 4:16:25 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Hans Blix lashed out at the United States in an interview with the British paper Guardian. According to that paper, Mr Blix, who retires in three weeks' time, accused:

· The Bush administration of leaning on his inspectors to produce more damning language in their reports;

· "Some elements" of the Pentagon of being behind a smear campaign against him; and

· Washington of regarding the UN as an "alien power" which they hoped would sink into the East river.

[Well, at least with the last he would be right if Washington was a euphamism for the feelings of the American people.]

In Kantafordia, Arnold Schwarzenegger delivered a speech in which, despite saying he's not running for governor (at least not yet), nevertheless called for a "voter revolution."

And The Washington Times is reporting that Rehnquist, O'Connor, and Stevens will likely remain on the Supreme Court for another year, meaning a vacancy would be less likely.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

A flat-top ..... with self-cleaning oven and an over timer and a clock that may actually work ..... *grins*

One feature this particular model has that really appealed to me is that two of the burners can be used as either a large or a small burner. Since there are just the two of us now, I'm cooking smaller quantities most of the time .... but then the kids come from time to time and I'm pulling out the big pots and pans. This configuration allows a lot of flexibility.

Sounds cool. Although I have a new overn, my built-in cook-top is an early 70's Harvest gold gas number. Some days the pilot lights go out and I have to light the darn thing with a match. I am way looking forward to replacing it!

I ran out to the grocery store for milk and eggs. What did I see staring me in the face but that loathesome book (labelled at #4 on whatever method the grocery uses.)!

I turned them all around so that her face was hidden. Yuk!

Just in case anyone cares ......

..... the name and logo of the new Charlotte NBA team were revealed today.

The logo and name go well with the Panthers as far as following through on a theme.

Since the Panthers came to town, the Charlotte bus system (and future light rail system) has been name CATS .... Charlotte Area Transportation System. I guess the Bobcats name was chosen to fit in with that.

Games being paid with the blood of innocent people going to work, school, shopping, feeding their kids in the pizza place

You obviously think that what the Palestinian militants do is controlled by what George Bush says. The Terrorism they do is controlled by what are the changing chances of Israels long term survival.

If the militant Palestinians think there is a snowballs chance in hell that some form of Palestinian leadership would recognize Israel as a state, they are going to kill Jews until the Jews start killing Palestinians back. That always ends the chance for peace. It ends any hope that Israel will be recognized as a nation and be able to live in peace.

The militant Arabs depend on your reaction. They will be happy to know they have it.

Yes, I believe they terrorist leaders take their cues from the President's utterings about Israel's retaliations.

If it was made quite clear that there will be no further discussions with the PA until the terror stops and if the President supported Sharon in keeping out ALL palestinians unti the terror stops things would be very different.

Terrorists only understand strength.......and unequivocal statements.

What a great time we had. Molly is as lovely in person as she is when posting here.

My report will come sometime later.

Sarah and PB fell last night when she was riding him. Sarah is fine. PB, I'm not so sure. I'm waiting to hear from the vet.

I don't like this...In fact, I'm almost in tears. He, now, is dragging his right front leg.

Boy, I wish the vet would call back again. I'm a wreck. Sarah is working and I'm home alone with a sore horse. Call me worried.

I got a new stove 2 years ago, and I still have to get out the instructions to clean the oven.

I'm not much of a cook, and I would live a lot longer if I could give up cooking forever.

Well, I've got the clock set ...... *grins*

Actually, that's a novelty ..... the clock was broken on the other one when we bought the house so it's been years since I've had one that works.

Toby ~~~ this new-fangled stove has push pads and digital read-outs and such ..... not the dials I'm used to on a stove.

Hubby won't be home for supper tonight so I don't get to give it a good try ..... but I've played with all the gizmos (except the oven cleaning). Boy, those burners certainly heat up in a hurry. I guess my old one needed replacing worse than I realized.

Well, I feel a little better. The vet called and she doesn't seem too concerned since nothing is broken. We are to give PB 6 aspirin twice a day.

Sorry I was so emotional.

Because of the morning fiasco, I was a little late meeting Molly and her husband.

We met here.

As I walked through the lobby I spotted Molly right away. Few people can fill a room with such sincerity.

We chatted about William,John,Allison, and all of you.

The time flew much too quickly. If we each didn't have plans, I'd be chatting with Molly...still. :-)

Molly's hubby took 3 pictures with our digital camera. I may have to lighten them up a bit because for some reason the flash didn't.
