We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good Morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
A 4.5 magnitude quake struck in western Kentucky.
GAG ALERT - A&E has announced plans for a movie about 97's life in the White House: A fair and balanced personal history. Wonder if we'll learn about the billing records or Vince Foster.
However, Fox News polling has shown that, in a hypothetical matchup, President Bush would trounce UOx42 by 21 points.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Good morning to you kind lady, messing with the growing zones are they? They just will not give up will they. They intend on changing the world---to their thinking and beliefs. Oh well, I will continue to plant when I think I should and it it goes flop, I will replant and replant again if I have to.

Good Morning, you two.
Raining this morning.
I'll tell you... there is nothing sweeter than a soft rain on the roof.
Unfortunately, my wife has been in the bathroom most of the morning dealing with a flu bug that has hit her. She does home day care, and I am afraid that one of her little chargers, who had been sick most of the week, brought it in with him.

Messing with the zones is going to cause lots of trouble for people. I never put out tender annuals, tomatoes, or peppers until May 15. That has always been our last frost date. Changing the zone will move the frost date to May 1.
I can't tell you how mmany times my dad told me he had lost tomatoes by trying to beat the date by a few days.
Also, there are plenty of roses that I do not plant because they are not hardy here. People are going to lose expensive plants because they will be misled by this thing!
ALSO, there is a mall section of Indiana down along the Ohio River that is already Zone 6. THAT area is changing to Zone 7! Trust me when I tell you that New Albany and Evansville are not Atlanta, Georgia!!

Jane,
I was reading some of your comments regarding Hillary. I think you're right on target that we have to remain vigilant, But I also think she has become so polarizing that she'll never make it.
Rush mentioned on his show that if she does not run until 08, it is not unlikely that Rudy would run against her in 06, and could unseat her very quickly, thus destroying any chance she has in 08.
I also think that the more she and Bill continue to steal the limelight from the other dem. candidates, the greater the resentment against them from their own party will grow.

Oh, dear! Sorry to hear about you wife's bug. I hope she gets over it quickly!
To: Miss Marple
I am skeptical when people start messing with zone changes.

Thanks Jane.
We're also making our last minute preparations on getting out eldest daughter on to France by Tuesday morning, so the timing for this flu bug is not the greatest... but when is it ever?

For your reading, um, not pleasure, but whatever...
Why I Stayed With Bill, more excerpts from that fount of fiction #97. She's either dumb or deceitful. Either way, she is unfit for public office.

I read that. I still say she stayed with him because of spousal immunity on testifying. He won't ever leave her, either, for the same reason.
To: Jemian
Interesting read, but I just can't swallow any of it.
What caught my interest was Hillary's assertion that through her discussions with Jackie Kennedy, that they must always deal with the Secret Service with total respect.
From everything I have read, all the Clintons continued to treat them with absolute contempt.

I saw your comment about her coalition-building was pithy and succinct. Well-stated.

There is always that one last hill you climb before it all starts going down hill and I honestly think they have climbed their last hill, espically Hill-0-ree. The American can only be fooled so many times before they say to heck with it.

I caught that too. With that group, it is not what you do but what you state. Therefore, to her thinking, saying she respected them was tantamount to actually respecting them. To them, actions don't matter.
They don't deal in reality.
I gotta go. If LD shows up, let her know I'll be back in about 12 hours.

Good morning!
Jane, thanks for that news from Indiana. The planting zone part definitely interests me, as I travel about, I carry a Burpee chart with me, so I can compare it to what I see on the ground. ALWAYS interesting. We're zone 5, BTW. And the new Univ. President! Good, very good news.
Iowa Granny, thanks for that understandable caution about the mint. Will pass it on.
Utah Girl, safe travels. Hope you're here when I get back.
Dolly, Loved that link, cause I love old movies and info about the actors. Thank you. How you feeling??
Kay, Lol on the rain stories. It's very foggy here this a.m. Yikes.
To: Northern Yankee
I am surprised that Roger Ailes (Fox) lets this weekend addition of Fox and Friends continue, it is getting worse each passing weekend. Oh well, time to switch to the weather channel.
