Watching him tonight, I can see he's very hungry for the win. This close, it's only natural that he'd want the win......and he should get it IMO. Reuben is good, but Clay has more range. I love his voice.

What's with these cheapskates at Fox? Why can't they have more than one line for each person? They had 10 numbers open when there were ten contestants. Why not have say 1 thru 4 for Clay and 5 thru 8 for Ruben?

Paul Anka hit the big time when he was 16! How old is he now?
According to imdb.com:
Date of birth (location)
30 July 1941
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
He also has a
Web site.
Amazing the stuff I'm able to get done when I'm avoiding stuff I should be doing. ;)

I agree with your analysis Pokey and not just because of Ruben by 3%, I give Clay his due. I liked and agreed with the way you broke it down.

Last year, they had a head-to-head with Kelly and Justin singing the same song(s). Of course, they obviously didn't mind Kelly showing up Justin. How interesting that tonight we saw no head to head, eh? Ridiculous. I'll be composing a letter to Fox. I'm sure they won't care, but maybe others who are upset will complain, as well, and generate enough numbers for them to get the message.
Ruben's intro was much more favorable, mentioning and then showing juicy comments from the celebrity judges, then not doing anything similar for Clay. They're so blatant about it.
MM, back to voting

Usually after 10 is harder, 24 being on we only call at commercials. The 24 Thread fans if I have not pinged you:

I got thru!! Going back in!!
To: MississippiMan
They also didn't judge the individual songs last year as they did this year. I looked at it as one more opportunity for Simon to try to control the competition...but his last comment did surprise me.

I think the health factor that could land him next to Barry White leaves hinm at #2 if it's a business choice.
Vandross is still on life support and in a coma;(
