Right from the start Clay touched my heart. Didn't see the beginning when he got voted off tho. How is they brought him back on the 'wild card'?
I enjoyed Josh Gracen but he really seemed just average......he certainly was a great person to have on during the war and I am sure he got lots of votes due to his being a marine......I wish him well!

I still haven't been able to get a call through. Grrrrrrr.
On another note: They're going to show that guy's lime green with purple polka dots home on Hannity and Colmes. Something to look forward to seeing while I continue to try to vote.

How is they brought him back on the 'wild card'? Luck of the draw ... They could only pick two out of group 2: the top three all came from group 2: Ruben, Clay, and Kimberly. Ruben and Kim made it through, and Clay was voted in as the wild card - good decision!!

Apparently, after the show, Ruben is no longer favored to win in the Las Vegas odds.

Three hours, think about it, over 20 million people called last week. It took me an hour last time. Just keep redialing, we can't let our guy down.

This morning the polls on CompuServe showed Clay leading 54%-46%, and AOL had almost exactly the opposite.

Thanks for the post and ping. Have been reading some of your comments and those from your husband. Tell him I agree with everything you've posted.
I've studied, played, performed and taught both instrumental and vocal (since age 3) and Clay's the only one in this competition after tonight as far as I'm concerned. Ruben blew it. He's got a beautiful, mellow voice, but I think his weight is seriously hampering diaphragmatic function, leaving him with an almost "shallow sound" and no support system to depend on to ease through the rough spots and carry him through the nerves. It could also be contributing to the hoarse sounds my husband and I noticed tonight.
All in all, the show did not live up to it's billing, IMHO. The two highlights were definitely Clay's Bridge Over Trouble Water and Paul Anka's MY WAY - what a hoot and what power that man still has at his age.
But that said, I tend to be overanalytical, and this will still come down to a subjective preference. I can't wait until tomorrow...I think the show will be amazing, much better voices than last year.
And that is so cool about your cousin's connection.
