I have an urgent prayer request for you Prayer Warriors! A 32 yr. old woman in our Parish was diagnosed this week with Stage 3 lung cancer. She is married with little girls, ages 2 and 4. One of the complicating factor is that she's 5 mths pregnant, and the other is that it looks as though the tumor is wrapped around her pulmonary artery. They took her in to Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston yesterday to open her up and do some intense direct radiation on the tumor and other trouble spots. I haven't heard the outcome of that yet.She is the sister of a friend whose kids attended the same school as mine. My friend quit her job last week so that she could take care of Ellen's children. This is a wonderful family, 5 girls, 2 boys, and their father is a retired pediatrician in town who is just loved by everyone who knows him.
We are praying for a healing miracle here. They can't do any chemo because of the baby, so maybe if they could maintain her until the baby can survive, they could take the baby then start her on very aggressive chemo. Folks don't care how the miracle happens, they're just praying hard for one. Thanks for doing this. Her family will be very appreciative knowing that folks all over the country are praying for Ellen.
