Our Texas Locale page recently got very busy on the unusual topic of Ouija boards and such. Archy suggested a Lone Star Thread That Will Not Die. Like those darn Hobbit threads with 30,000+ posts.
This is not my thread and I'm not going to baby sit it every day. I just gathered the kindling and y'all have to start the fire.
TOPICS: Chit/Chat

Ooops, we're losing 17-3.... Yeah, but that one didn't count. We all know how the only match we've had with the Cowpatties that counted came out. Heeeeeheeeee

Thanks. Well my 7 year old almond tree just snapped. I hope that's all the damage you sustained. Let us know after you've gotten some rest.
Erika didn't mean to do it. Really!

Well my 7 year old almond tree just snapped. Even if you LOVE that tree, I hope that's ALL the damage you have! Our hundred year old Ceder tree dropped limbs all over our roof and demolished our patio cover in Claudette. Poor tree looks awful now!! Saw that the storm went in below you, but you got the east side winds! Let us know how you're doing, Carol

Johnstons Atoll That's a garden spot. LOL, I'm always amazed at the people who know about it!! It looks like a 'space ship' from the air. Have you been there? They do have a lot of trees planted there now, and it soon will be a bird refuge.

Well, I did like that tree but things can be replaced. We lost the N side of the backyard fence but that's about all. We still need to check the roof out though. We were blessed that it didn't strengthen. It could have been a lot worse. It was here before we knew it. People were outside putting up plywood at midnight last night.

Erika didn't mean to do it. Really! Yeah, she took it easy with us but I think she hates trees. Well not all of them though. She left those darn ole mesquite trees standing lol
To: potlatch
How did your daughter fare?
To: CindyDawg
Glad it wasn't worse. Check your roof out good for insurance purposes. My daughter just had heavy rain in Harlingen.
I love plants and envy all the things you can grow down there. An Almond tree sounds nice. Tracy had a huge Schefflera tree and Avacado tree at her other house!

Never been there, but I was involved with some work in Nevada that was similar to what they used to do there.
