That looks like the place near where my dad was stationed during WWII for a time. He and some others saw a plane go down not too far from there and rescued the crew. They've kept in touch over all these years. I didn't hear about the incident until relatively recently after a reunion of the Coast Guard servicemen that were stationed there.

Did you feel the earthquake?
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/134683095_webquake25.html 4.8 quake jolts western Washington
PORT ANGELES A deep earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.8 beneath the Olympic Mountains jolted much of Western Washington early today.
No damage was reported initially following the quake, which was widely felt across the Olympic Peninsula and in much of the Seattle area, said Anthony Qamar, Washington state seismologist.
Because of its depth, it would cause light damage if any damage, Qamar said.
The temblor occurred at 3:02 a.m. PDT and was centered 31 miles beneath Olympic National Park and about 30 miles south of Port Angeles and 43 miles west of Seattle.
An aftershock registering 2.9 was recorded at 4:56 a.m.
In barely an hour the University of Washington seismology laboratory in Seattle received 200 e-mail quake reports from Olympia at the south end of Puget Sound to Everett, 25 miles north of Seattle, and across the Olympic Peninsula, Qamar said.
KING Television in Seattle received more than a dozen calls from Puget Sound-area residents who said they felt the jolt, and some added that they saw pictures move on their walls.
The quake occurred in the same deep geological structure as the 6.8 magnitude Nisqually earthquake south of Seattle on Feb. 28, 2001, and was three times as deep and 30 times more powerful than a 3.9 magnitude quake beneath Portland, Ore., on Thursday.

Hey, CO! I've seen your posts on the Laci Peterson threads. I've been lurking, not posting. By New Year's day I figured he had done the deed. Just something not right about that guy. His wife turns up missing, and he makes the police get a search warrant to have a look around. Gee, that seems a mite suspicious. My sis-in-law lives near Modesto, and the police were searching the river just a few blocks from where she and her hubby live. We were talking and both decided that Scotty had done it. Her husband pipes up and offered other explanations, like having to do with the breakin across the street. Sis in law and I looked at each other and said, "Nah. The husband did it". And my hubby said, "He, we're not ALL bad guys!".
