Years ago I was in a bar in La-La Land and was hitting on a Stewardess. Anyway, I didn't get what you think BUT I did get something much more important. That Stewardess worked for Delta Airlines and she told me that on weekdays mornings a Delta Flight that ended up in L.A. had to make a short hop over to San Diego to begin it's daily flight from there. As a result, they only charged $9 ROUND-TRIP for the flight. I had to find out if the Stewardess was on the level or was just kidding me so that same week I checked into it and found out she was right. I couldn't believe the bargain! I made several trips this way to San Diego. I would fly to San Diego in the mornings and walk around downtown San Diego or go to the famous San Diego Zoo or (most often) take the Tijuana Trolley down to the border which I would cross.
I told all my friends back then about the deal which they happily took advantage of as well. There was no Internet at the time so I couldn't post this incredible bargain on the Web.
However, I would like now to start a Thread (hopefully permanent and constantly updated) where Freepers can post INCREDIBLE bargains and deals they have found so the rest of us can take advantage of them. The only ground rule is that any bargain or deal you post is something that you don't personally profit from so that we won't have folks spamming for their own businesses.
TOPICS: Business/Economy
KEYWORDS: bargains; deals
Post away incredible deals and bargains you have found. I will be checking this thread myself on a regular basis. Hey, I want to save money too!

I'll let you know if I spot something worthy enough for the thread.

I'll be waiting for your bargain. Okay, here is one for South Florida Freepers. The Emerald Coast Seafood Buffet has all you can eat lobsters along with all you can eat chunks of the red fatty parts of red raw tuna (I forgot the Japanese word) plus all the other seafood buffet stuff for only $17.95 on weekends. I gorged myself there a couple of weeks ago. There are two Emerald Coast buffets in Broward and one in Dade. However the Dade Emerald Coast buffet is in Sunny Isles which is a little distant for you.
I ate so much Stone Crab at the Emerald Coast that I got sick of it for the first time in my life.

I would suggest shopping at 99 Cent stores, but most of those are owned by Islamists, at least here in NYC.

Avoid the lunch "specials" at the Rascal House in Sunny Isles. They cost nearly the same as at dinner and are usually comprised of last night's leftovers.
For large portions of affordable Cuban food, check out any of the La Carretta chain or the grandaddy of them all, VERSAILLES.
If only Versailles would open up a location in New York...

Here is somthing I thought was a good deal...
Many years ago, after my dad died, and my mom was getting worse with Alzheimers, I decided that mom needed to come live with me and my family...
Now mom and dad lived in California, and I lived in the state of Washington...we packed up just about everything in moms house, and needed to rent a Ryder truck to haul her stuff up to Washington....they charged us about 1300 dollars for the one way trip from California to Washington State....
But they said, if we were going the opposite direction, Washington state to California, we could have probably gotten the Ryder rental truck for free...
Thats because, so many people were moving out of California, ,and moving to other states, with the Ryder...so the Ryder wound up in the other state, and California actually had a shortage or Ryders...it was costly to hire Ryder employees to fly to the other states, and then drive back the Ryders to California...so if someone was moving to California from another state, and wanted to rent a Ryder moving truck, if the person moving asked, Ryder would probably agree to let them have the truck for free, and might even provide some small funds for gas, just to be able to get the truck back to California...

I think you can also use RVs (and get paid to drive them) by delivering them from manufacturers to dealers. You can take your time about delivering so it would be like free rental of the RVs.

I was at the supermarket checkout line with about $15 worth of spices in containers (garlic powder, basil, oregano, etc.) The checkout lady said, "Why not buy your spices in bulk, surely you have containers at home?" I did that and filled up all my spice containers for about $3.

Speaking of supermarkets, I'm really PISSED OFF at Florida supermarkets. Why? Because, unlike the supermarkets when I lived in L.A., they don't DOUBLE your coupons here in Florida. I used to love to go to a Hugh's market out in L.A. and buy about $10 worth of stuff for under a buck using the double coupons. Example: $1.00 coupons on B.O. sticks and when that was doubled, I would pay only about 20 cents for each B.O. stick. There was an Alpha-Beta Market out in West Hollywood that a couple of times a year would TRIPLE its coupons. It was worth the trip to weirdo-land to take advantage of that deal. I used to spend only about $50 for about $400 worth of groceries using the Triple Coupons.
Does anybody know if they still Double coupons out in L.A.?

Actually if you go to the Ft. Lauderdale War Memorial Auditorium Computer Shows, you will get INCREDIBLE deals there on both hardware and software. If you haven't been there before, check it out. The low prices on everything will stun you. There is usually a computer show there once every five or six weeks.
