We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

The Fourth Infantry Division has rolled into Baghdad, and will take over garrison duty from the Marines.

Marines searched the Palestinian Hotel in Baghdad for weapons and individuals "not friendly to the United States."

Questions have arisen as to whether Syria is harboring elements of the defunct Iraqi regime; UK Foreign Secretary Straw urged Syria to cooperate with the United States on this question.

The United States has cancelled the deployment of the 1st Cavalry Division to Iraq and will only send elements of the First Armored.

Airplanes and carriers are slowly being released from duty in the Iraqi area.

A CBS/NY Times poll finds the President's job approval rating is at 73%, up from 59% the week before the start of the war. Most telling - a full 61% of the members of the Criminal Party support his performance.

And we will not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Man, that is an amazing story about the 123 rescued from prison. Simply amazing!

Dog, tell those computer demons to leave your poor computer alone.

As a former geeky professional I should be able to help Jim rid his computer of computer demons. But I don't do Windoze(tm). ;>)

Best I can suggest is wave a (thawed) dead chicken over it, then debone the chicken and fill it with a force-meat stuffing and truffles and cook for 1.5 hours at 325F or until it reaches an internal temp of 155F. ;>)

It comes, I am told, precisely at 3 AM.

precisely at 3 AM.

Which is an hour and half before oh-dark-thirty. Which is way, way early.

I checked out your home page. It looks pretty good. I like the links, and the virtual library.

Does this news put a smile on your face or what?
JACQUES Chirac’s opposition to the war in Iraq and the desecration of Allied graves by anti-British vandals have ended France’s reign as the UK’s favourite holiday destination.

A loss of 300,000 visitors and a 25 per cent drop in bookings in a month mean Spain is now officially Britain’s top tourist venue after 14 years in second place.

That's going to leave a mark.

I have German, Italian, and American wine in the fridge with which to cook. Je ne parle pas francais.

And when the Rhisling is gone with the next dessert platter, I won't be sprekenze german.

Daughter and I were fishing today. We've got a stringer of 5 fish in the freezer waiting to be cleaned tomorrow. We tossed a bunch over the fence as we're trying to thin out the population a bit.

We finally caught our first catfish a few days ago, but I'm pretty sure it was one that I had bought and put in back in February. Definitely too small to keep.

That's ok, but evicerating them immediately and packing them on crushed ice in a perforated pan over a catch pan is preferred. GRIN!

Not that I'm infected with the culinary bug or anything.

Trill does appreciate that before I shut down the kitchen here at the house at night..... Trash goes out. Sweep and mop. Wash dishes and put away. Wipe down and sanitze appliances and counters. Clean stove and ovens as required. Clear refrigerator.

Yep. I'm eat up with the kitchen bug. ;>)

Back yesterday from an extended weekend in La-La Land, aka Manhattan. Most fascinating, and I'm not just talking about the sights along Madison Ave... Catching up on the outer planet now.

Mr. Chair, your posts today are appreciated.

Todays work has been a bust. I'll try again later, in a few hours. Josh has a game Wednesday night. No school Friday or Monday.

On Sunday afternoon I finally thought to look for your book while I was in a fairly large bookstore. Alas, they reported that it was "not available at this time." Guess I may have to go the Amazon route.

I do Windoze. :) In fact, I fixed my mother's computer problem long distance this evening. "It's making this noise when I turn the computer on." I made her put the phone up to the computer, and told her to check the CD-ROM first thing. Ha! There was a CD in there with a loose label that was flapping on start up. This is why they pay me the big buck to work with Windoze....(and if you believe that, well.)

Sadly, my publisher sucks at distribution. We're not in stores yet, although I'm hoping that the 2nd edition, on the way soon, will find itself there. We've had great media coverage, including an appearance on an upcoming Discovery Channel (or TLC) show. My co-author just got another mention in the NY Slimes (the fourth between us), so we know there's an audience out there somewhere, even at 43rd St., NYC.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to set up some distribution myself. The problem is that the biggest automotive category distributor just got bought out by Venture Capital, and the new management has shaved all the non-House products from the catalog. A lot of small publishers got screwed by this. I don't care. It'll come around. We have a nice product, and people seem to like it. Also, following a couple good reviews that just hit in the automotive press, we've gotten a good kick at Amazon of late. Currently, we're at about 93,000 there, which ain't all that bad.

If you truly want a copy, snail mail or Paypal an order from the form on my website www.stretching-it.com and I'll post ten bucks of it to FR, plus a big ole dedication to the great Mr. Mulliner on the first page from Nicollo.

Thanks!
